Once again, Redskins win the offseason

It seemed like everybody was just trying to keep up with the Washington Redskins.

Leave it to the Redskins to flaunt convention, manipulate the salary cap, and once again go all-out to win the offseason. It's surprising they didn't get in on the Culpepper sweepstakes.

It is the best time of year for owner Daniel Snyder to remind his colleagues that his Redskins are the NFL's No. 1 cash cow, the team with the league's biggest stadium, most revenues and ranked No. 1 on the Forbes list of most valuable franchises.

The rest of the article goes on to whyne about how unfair it is what the Skins are doing, though he does make some good points about how high priced players don't mean a winning season. The differance this time however is the Gibbs factor.

Zzzzzzzz....wasn't that article written last year? Can't any of these hacks come up with something original?

After a 10-6 season, Joe Gibbs and his HOF staff, you'd think they would come up with something new, but alas, just another parrot trying to sound smart

I love how people think we have an unfair advantage. Their is a salary cap, no? Manipulation of players' contracts is perfectly legal. Perhaps if other owners were more dedicated to winning, they'd spend a little more time marketing and a little less time whining about how the NFL is unfair. They're freaking millionares! Yes, thank goodness I dont' have to deal with the frustrations of being an NFL owner.

The Seatle Seahawks, owned by Paul Allen the 3rd richest man in America, got extra revenue sharing this past season under the old formula. It has been estimated that the new CBA will soak Dan Snyder for an additional $3 to $7 million each season to share with low revenue teams.

That money comes directly from us Redskin fans who support our team with our wallets through Snyder's marketing efforts directed at us. So when opposing fans whine to us we should remind them that it is us Redskin fans who are making welfare payments to the lazy, uncreative owners of teams with cheap fans who aren't willing to pay their fair share.

I seriously doubt you can label the 3rd richest man in America as Lazy or Uncreative. Unless of course it was inherited money.

You know, with the mediots hype of us cleaning out the offseason I can only think of two years the Skins have really been crazy active in the offseason since Snyder took over. 2000 and 2006. 2000 was a fantasy football spree but 2006 we were filling in holes. We did nothing in 2001, signed Florida washouts in 2002, a few Jets in 2003, made a trade in 2004 and signed a couple guys and last made a trade and did very little else in 2005 but yet because we went big in 2000 we're forever tagged as big offseason shoppers.
