skinfan2k
Im glad that redskins are able to keep one of the backups who i believed played pretty well last year. hes a good 3dt, but hes not starter material just yet. i hope another offseason can help and he can be a force when called upon next year. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/03/15/AR2006031502141.html Gibbs said the Redskins have agreed to terms with backup defensive lineman Cedric Killings, but did not release contract terms. Killings, 28, appeared in 10 games last season for Washington, recording 13 tackles, nine solo. . . .

WallyG3
Killings is good depth. Nice move. I'd invite Evans back too. EDIT - Looks like we're working to get Evans back. http://www.redskins.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=7536 Head coach Joe Gibbs said on Wednesday that defensive tackle Cedric Killings has agreed to terms with the Redskins. Killings, an unrestricted free agent, played in 10 games for the Redskins and recorded 17 tackles. The deal is not official, however. Gibbs also said the team continues to negotiate with reserve defensive end Demetric Evans, who had 32 tackles and three sacks for the Redskins last year. Evans is also an unrestricted free agent. Earlier this week, the Redskins hosted a visit from New York Jets defensive end John Abraham. There are no other free agent visits to report at this time. DB44
I'm glad they're keeping the support cast together. Unfortunately we lost Ryan Clark. I hope Demetric Evans signs now. He was very effective in his role last year.
Reverend Gonna Change
Somebody/Admin needs to add this to the "OFFICIAL SIGNINGS/RESIGNINGS" thread. I wanted to do it, but it's locked.
Jimbo
Nothing like having a guy named "Killings" on your Defensive Line. Definitely one of the better names in the NFL today.
RabidFan
Nice depth sign, I'm sure Nic Clemons is going nowhere so we should have him as well if we Evans signs elsewhere for more money and starting potential.
