you guys have to remember, santana was not a proven receiver other than college. he was fragile and unhappy being the slot man in NY, but he comes here and is a star. Now they have to be afraid of the WR screen on both sides of the line as well as a WR screen to randle el where he throws down field to MOSS. oh man, i just creamed my panties.

6 years, 31 mil, which includes a 10 mil signing bonus. Ridiculous numbers.

He doesn't deserve that type of contract, that is crazy. He's a good player, but he has yet to prove himself as a reciever. He biggest contribution to the superbowl was the trick play where he threw a touchdown. How important is THAT to our passing game?

I would've rather let another team overpay for his services than us. I thought Danny boy had learned his lesson.

Or some just call it as we see it.

Really, I have a problem when we sign a guy who only cleared 600 yards once, and he was the #2 WR option in Pittsburgh.

I'd like to be wrong on this, but we do have other needs as well, and the veteran DEs are disappearing quickly.

Jason

There is more to football then numbers. Moss did not put up any numbers before he came here but his talent was clear. Same with Randel EL. He gets open like a number 2 reciever.

I THNK this is the best deal we have made other then Moss and Portis in yrs. Randel EL is the type of guy that does all the little things to get u 2 extra wins.

if the parameters of the Redskins offer are true.......6 years, $31 million with a $10 million bonus, how could Randle El realistically leave this deal on the table to visit other clubs? Nobody else is going to come close to those numbers.

Edgerrin James only received a $7 million bonus when he signed earlier today :)

Like it has been said before Moss wasn't putting up 1400 yds in NY before he came here. Lloyd had 3 different ****ty qb's and still ended up with decent numbers and EL was on an offense that for 90% of the year was a run first offense. Roethlesburger probably didn't even have a 300 yd passing game this year did he, I know he sure didn't in the SB. I just think stats can be taken out of context and have to be looked at under a current offesnse. I'll be the worst of the 4 WR will end up with 600-700yds receiving and that 2-3 of these guys will hit 1000 yds, plus don't forget Cooley who could also get in the 600 yd range at TE.
