The Lloyd and Randle El moves are great not only from the standpoint that they give us three realistic threats from the receiver position and put fear in the eyes of defensive coordinators each week, but also from the standpoint that they set up Jason Campbell for a smooth transition to starting quarterback whenever the time comes. It also reduces the potential for the team to take a step back as Campbell acclimates himself with a pro offense.

My money says that the learning curve will be very comfortable for Campbell once his time comes, whether that be at some point this coming season, or next year.

How would you like to step into an offense with Clinton Portis, Santana Moss, Chris Cooley, Antwaan Randle El, Brandon Lloyd, Chris Samuels, Jon Jansen, and Randy Thomas? Not to mention the fact that Gibbs and Saunders are overseeing the operation.

Jason Campbell is doing backflips wherever he is as we speak.

Welcome aboard Antwaan !

ESPN.com news services

Former Steelers wide receiver Antwaan Randle El has agreed to a six-year deal with the Washington Redskins, a source familiar with the negotiations told ESPN.com's Michael Smith.

Randle El turned down a six-year, $18 million offer from the Bears that included $8 million to sign.
