chairmangao
Interest in Archuleta means one of two things to me, we have no plans to resign Clark or we've talked to Sean's lawyers and really think he's going to do time. I don't agree. Archuleta is being brought in to replace Bowen as a SS that plays close to the line. He is an effective blitzer. Plus GWilliams often puts 4 safeties on the field, especially on 3rd down passing situations.
mookie0720
Put a package together to move into the top of the 1st round. Take the Cyborg.
NVskinsfan
Redskins "Lose" Royal.....Riiiiiiiggggghhhhhtttt... We didn't LOSE Royal, we chose not to resign him. Nice headline Washington Post. I agree 100%...he is NO major loss!!!
ChiefPowhatan17
I am glad that Royal is gone, he was a good blocker, but that's it. We need to get an all around good solid TE in the draft.
Dead Money
The Redskins already have an elite pass catcher in H-back Chris Cooley. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/03/11/AR2006031100869.html Yes we do which makes being a redskin fan so nice! COOOOOOOOOLEY!
Laxpunk2006
I was shocked at how much Buffalo signed Royal for. I liked him in madden but as far as real games go he didn't impress me. Hopefully we can draft somebody and let Manuel White Jr. move into a back-up TE role.
rlhjr34
it's official letting Royal walk for that contract is THE best FA move of the day for the skins!!!!
dent19
Way too much to pay for him unless you sat near his family during the games. Wow they were crazy, country, and drunk.
Dan Snyders Capologist
I wish Robert Royal the best in Buffalo. The Skins are looking for a run blocking te, it just didnt worked out.
dent19
i think vernon davis might be in the works here. i'd nut my pants if we landed him. CAlm down, we dont have the means to pull of a Ricky Wlms deal.... not happening
bryanyoung
Wonder why Buffalo is giving away Washington like contracts to people? Glad to see Royal get paid off...but glad it wasn't us that was the one to give him that much money.
Laxpunk2006
Enough with the man crushes on Vernon Davis. Jason I <3 Vernon! On a more serious note I'm happy for Royal that he was able to make that kind of dough. I always liked the guy but I don't see this negatively affecting our team. HokieSkinsFan
I wish Royal the best. He was a decent player for the Skins and seemed like he was a good teammate.
ZoEd
More cap space to go after a real TE, one that can catch and block. For those of you who think he was so great, did you notice almost evertime he caught the ball he turned upfield standing straight up. He never lowered his shoulder to prepare for a hit, hence him getting the snot knocked out of him all the time. I bet his YAC is all but non existent as well. Most of you will dismiss this as Gibbs not using TE's to catch but for blocking, but do you think if he had a decent TE who could catch that he wouldn't take advantage of that. Please! This team has been TE deficient for a very long time and I for one think it's about time to get a decent one that can open up our offense a little more. If we have a TE that's an actual receiving threat defenses will have to cover him with a LB, one less LB in the box, you do the math. RR was a good guy but was no means a good enough football player to get the amount of money that Buffalo's going to pay him. Good bye and good luck. Now let's go get ourselves a real TE. Staylor21
What a dummy look at there overall sitution over there they suck and so does he so he went to the right place
spm
He's a decent TE, but for $2.5 million I really can't argue with him jumping ship. There's no way we should pay that kind of money to our 3rd most important TE/H-back. I wouldn't have wanted the skins to offer half of that. MikeSellers45
This sucks, but I wish him the best of luck in Buffalo. Hopefully he will become a star and get back at the Skins.
NAILBOMB9
You just had a feeling in his interview where he said along the lines that he thinks he's worth big money and could have his family financially set with what he thought he was worth, that he would probably be gone (Clark). Might have also been a hint to the FO, but unfortunately I have a feeling he will be gone.
Gamebreaker
Good for Royal, I hope he learns how to catch better. If not, I don't see him being very successful in this league. Brunell doesn't exactly put alot of velocity on his passes, and Royal dropped so many it was ridiculous.
Tazhog
Sorry, I don't think Royals is much of a loss. He dropped to many passes for a TE IMO... I believe we can do better than Robert Royal... He made me drink way to much Antiacid...
