Well, here you go...

"D.C. lobbying players: The Redskins came out swinging. They made contact after midnight Friday with 49ers defensive end Andre Carter, Rams safety Adam Archuleta, Chiefs quarterback Todd Collins and Steelers receiver Antwaan Randle El and have them flying in as early as Saturday."

Seems to be on target with some of our speculations. I still think Brandon Lloyd would be a cheaper and better option than Randle El.

An earlier poster named jayneal7, or something like that, started a thread on FA rumors, he claimed to have an inside source, and listed which FA's we would get. The ENTIRE list above is exactly who he said we would get. He also said we would get Lloyd for a mid-round pick this year and next year. Interesting stuuf.

Just picked up a juicy bit of info from someone who is pretty reliable...anyway - here goes:

Redskins already have a deal with 49ers to acquire 49ers WR Brandon Lloyd for two draft picks.

Will acquire the Chiefs' Todd Collins to be their 3rd QB (knows Al Saunders well).

Are flying in free agent S Adam Archuleta (great blitzer; Gregg Williams loves him), free agent WR Antoine Randle El and free agent DE Andre Carter tomorrow. Will make their pitch, wine and dine them, take them to the Wizards-Pistons game. The Bears are their toughest competition for Archuleta and Randle El.

Heard from another source that Randle-El is as good as ours! That gives us Moss, Lloyd and R-E w/Patton as 4th WR!?!

If these guys are on the money (and I believe they are)...

XXXXI :point2sky

Cheerleader info :D

not bad....

No not Randel-El....ah well he does do good kick/punt returns.....

I was at steelers camp last yr and saw him drop 4 punts in a row. The fans were making fun of him each time he went back there........

But he is usually pretty good in that capacity....:D

I don't know about the Collins move dude hasn't played in like 5 years :munchout:

Gibbs knows best

Collins must be really respected by Saunders, he has been kept around for a while backing up Green and has minimal wear and tear on him.

Also he can help teach the offense to the others.

True he hasn't done much, but Saunders knows him well enough to be able to tell what he is capable of by now.

The only problem with that, is that all the players he mentioned, had PREVIOUSLY been mentioned or reported as possibilities in the Washington Post, KFFL and other media sources.

Those are all variations of this story:

AIR SNYDER

When midnight strikes, Redskins owner Daniel Snyder will have his jets fueled up and ready to depart across the country to pick up free agents Washington desires.

If you look to the skies this weekend, you might see one of Daniel Snyder's planes.

"The pilots," Redskins vice president of football operations Vinny Cerrato said on NFL Total Access, "will be on standby."

Those thought to be on Washington's hit list include San Francisco free agent defensive end Andre Carter, St. Louis safety Adam Archuleta, San Francisco wide receiver Brandon Lloyd, Kansas City quarterback Todd Collins and Baltimore defensive tackle Maake Kemoeatu.

The Redskins sense they are close to getting to the next level, and a solid free-agent class could make the difference. Snyder knows it, Joe Gibbs knows it, and now the team is going to act on it.

It would surprise nobody if, on the opening weekend of free agency, even with their salary-cap issues, the Redskins make the biggest splash. Don't they always at this time of year?

I believe JayNeal7's post said we may get Randle El and Lloyd. If so we will have no more problems on offense as a good #2 was what kept us from a possible Super Bowl last year.Randle El could be #3 reciever and KR/PR. Release Thrash for extra cap space if these signings could happen. Hope it does.

We need a guy like Jurivicius or Loyd ,Randle el is not a pure WR!!!

We don't have any pure players on this football team. That's not how we roll. Portis throws passes, Brunell throws blocks, and several of our starting defensive players regularly play on special teams. To say we can't use the talent of a player capable of throwing passes, catching passes, and running back kick returns is ignorant. Sit, breathe, think about what you're posting. Have you ever even watched R-E play? He's pure talent, and with a coaching staff like ours we could turn him into our own little monster weapon. Just another way to score points, which beleive it or not, is one of the best ways to win football games.
