Oldskool
Redskins | Team targeting Randle El Fri, 10 Mar 2006 15:02:40 -0800 The Associated Press reports the Washington Redskins are targeting free agent WR Antwaan Randle El (Steelers) via free agency, according to a league official. He spoke on condition of anonymity because under league rules, the team is not allowed to contact the players until the market opens at 12:01 a.m. EST Saturday, March 11. Randle El is one of four free agents the Reskins are targeting. As noted earlier, the other three are free agent WR Brandon Lloyd (49ers), LB/DE Andre Carter (49ers) and S Adam Archuleta (Rams). God I hope they are wrong... visionary
Well hopefully between El and Llloyd they could give Moss a lot of help and fight Patten for the 2nd spot. ;-)
Ant15fromNJ
Randel El and Moss wow what a combo just think of that screen to Randel El its like having two Santana's.

elkabong82
Groan... We need a WR w/ sure hands. Randle El's special teams contributions are invaluable though, but I think this is just another case of the media automatically assigning a big name FA to the Skins. Yes BUT he gives a dangerous PR, and KR. I'll say it...it was a joke we had Betts back there as a KR.
Oldskool
I'd be happy too....but other people won't be, why???? because it does nothing to solve the issue of needing a large target to throw to over the middle to take coverage away from Moss. RedskinsFanatic
I'd be happy too....but other people won't be, why???? You can not make everyone happy...no matter WHO we pick up someone won't like it...you just have to trust coach Gibbs which I do. If he wants Randle El then I say welcome Randle El...if he doesn't he doesn't....I honestly find some..well most people's concerns amusing as I have them myself on some things but @ the end of the day what do we know? Leave it to the coaching staff and trust thier judgement....:logo:

Loyd and Randel El can catch the ball... That is all we need. Anybody who can beat a one on one coverage is all we need.

SackMachine
I think the management is just talking to everybody to make sure we find atleast 1 wr. Randle-El isn't necessarly the first choice they have. He seems to be alot more of a returner and a trick play kind of guy. He's not a solid WR but he has heart. Very nifty after the catch, the only problem is making the catch and the fact that he's the #3 WR. Ward> Wilson > Randle-El He made a game saving tackle in the superbowl, stopping the Interception from going back for a touchdown.

I don't disagree with your sentiment, but I wouldn't call playing QB in the Big 10 "minor" passing ability. Although it WAS Indiana.
posse87
I can't say this loud enough "GO AFTER JAVON WALKER." He is by far the best option available out there and due to his horrible relationship with the Greenbay front office and coming off a knee injury, we may be able to get him for a reasonable price. Just think what Walker and Moss streaking down the field would look like. Campbell would have a nice pair of WR's to to have for long term competitiveness and sustainable returns to the playoffs/superbowls.

Plus i would not want to risk having a player coming off a major injury. Givens, Moulds, Randel-El, Jurveius, K. Robinson and A. Bryant should be the only wrs we look at in free agency.
