praise_gibbs
Rumor has it that Daunte is on his way to STL for Bulger and a mid round pick. http://www.vikingsboard.net/ Is Bulger disgruntled in STL? To me thats the only way this trade makes any sense.
inmate running the asylum
Both QB's are 29 and both are coming off injuries from last year, although Dante's injuries were more serious from what I read. Dante was having an off year in 2005 even before his injury, but he could rebound. I like Dante better because of his size and up until last year, his durability over Bulger. Although Bulger is a good QB. If true, this is kind of a blockbuster deal like the Portis-for-Bailey trade.
visionary
WTH? This can't be true. Can it? That's a pretty unexpected trade. Though it make a bit of sense that the guy from Minnesota before might want Culpepper in St. loius.
Drex
Scott Linehan is now in St. Louis and under his tutelage, Culepper had some good years. From this standpoint, I could see Culpepper being traded to St. Louis.
arrowhead
Scott Linehan is now in St. Louis and under his tutelage, Culepper had some good years. From this standpoint, I could see Culpepper being traded to St. Louis. Even without Ike Bruce, Culpepper would conceivably have better receivers to throw the deep ball to more consistently. Dirk Diggler
A coup for St. Louis. DC is a perennial MVP threat and the absolute prototype QB. If we didn't have Campbell, I would be banging on my desk screaming for us to get him.
skinfan2k
this was also posted on PFT. i think that daunte will be great with holt and curtis. they have a good running attack in minnesota and he will be hooked up with scott linehan so he will already have a grasp of the system. Big Weirdo
This is a weird move. But it makes sense because of Scott Linehan. Bulger will be fine in Minny I believe.

RWJ
One QB out of the way and makes things easier for a Ramsey trade if it happens
Fifty Gut
the only way this makes sense is if STL wants to run the same offense they had when Martz was there (minimum protection, maximum routes) Culepper has the ability to shed blitzers, which would make sense in such an offense but Bulger has such a beautiful deep pass, I wouldn't trade him
Oldskool
This makes sense cos Culpepper isnt a WCO QB in any sense of the word. Bulger has more of the finesse touch that Childress needs to run that offense.

potato
I'd take that shredded knee away from the plastic turf, Daunte.
TaylorPickSix
Dang Culpepper is probably loving this trade. He gets to throw to three great recievers, and the rams are poised to draft Vernon Davis. Culpepper is prob liking his chops right now, and he's already on the top of my fantasy targets at QB for next year. Unless, of course, we get Lloyd, Randel El, and Putzier. Then I might have to go for the Brunell/Campbell combo .
Peregrine
It makes sense the Vikings would trade him and get another teams starter, because they are gonna need a QB themselves. This makes a lot of sense, and would mean Miami would have to go for Kitna or Ramsey(probobly Ramsey as they need to build for the future). mofo
http://www.stlouisrams.com/article/53222/ Seriously, do the Daunte Culpepper to the Rams rumors really need to be revived? We've heard it and read it all before. Yes, Linehan has a previous relationship with Culpepper. No, that doesn't mean he is going to come to St. Louis. For the same reasons as before, this isn't going to happen. One, Culpepper makes a lot of money and isn't necessarily worth the contract or the compensation it would take to get him. Two, Culpepper is coming off a serious injury that might not have him ready to play until September. Third, and most important, I believe Marc Bulger is the better quarterback at this point. The likelihood of Culpepper being traded is high. The likelihood of that trade landing him in St. Louis? Almost none. --------------------- That was written by Nick Wagoner, the Senior Writer for the Saint Louis Rams official homepage on Friday 3-10. Me: No chance this happens. The new staff doesn't want to start off on a bad foot like they almost did with the Bruuuuuce fiasco. There really is no reason at all to believe any rumors that have Culpepper coming to StL and/or Bulger leaving. It does not make sense financially or from a PR standpoint. VAsBeachBoy
I don't think will happen it's been said STL ain't interested and it just doesn't make any sense... I think that minnesota would be getting robbed unless they get a second with it.
six4g
Is it true the Vikes are only asking for a 2nd round choice for Culpepper? How about Culpepper throwing to Moss, Lloyd and Cooley? Dang, I like the sound of that.
