ktball74
Came down to 2 scenarios LA would be here next year If LA could help with the cap, he would be a free agent.
visionary
Yahhh! Whoa, never mind it's back...scary. Several days of discussions went on leading up to last night. the Free agency scenario did not matter what happened with the CBA.

RedskinsNation
Marcus Washington is the "star" nowadays. Good Riddance to LaVar. Joe Gibbs is one of a kind. JOE GIBBS is the FACE of the FRANCHISE.

ktball74
Gibbs said they would've worked it out if LA wanted to be here, but he didn't want to be here. The last 2 years have been rough, and wish they could've been better. Injuries hurt LA.
CPstretch
gibbs not surprised with lavar's decision.
ktball74
Gibbs doesn't see money, he sees players. He takes care of the players that are here, and that wants to be here.
skinstzar
Gibbs said they would've worked it out if LA wanted to be here, but he didn't want to be here. The last 2 years have been rough, and wish they could've been better. Injuries hurt LA. That is not at all what he said. He said Lavar had two deals to select from. Lavar selected the best deal for him. In any case that is what he should have done.

skinstzar
You're both right....sort of. Joe Gibbs never said that Lavar did not want to be here. Lavar took the best deal for him. If we could see the first deal offered we would know how this fully and truly went down. Lavar probably felt that it was best for him to leave and if that is how he feels, only he knows why. He doesn't deserve to be blasted for this decision.

ktball74
A reporter asked if LA refused to restructure, and Gibbs said it's best that he didn't comment on that. I'm pretty sure that's what I heard from the reporter.

da#1skinsfan
Did anyone else notice how quick Gibbs was to react to the insinuation that Lavar was being unselfish when he gave back the $4M? He REALLY must not like Lavar.
da#1skinsfan
Gibbs now talking about how you win with players with character and heart. Thats the biggest thing. Its not x's and o's, its not coaches, its havnig the right character player on the field.
ktball74
He is really praising his players from a coaching standppoint. Saying you don't win with X's and O's, you win with players.
