jbooma
Mort was just on ESPN and stated that after the Union and Owners agree today to the parameters then Tags is going to call another delay and meet with the owners on Tuesday to address the revenue sharing. It is clear no deal will be ratafied unless the owners have a revenue plan agreeded too. This is what Upshaw has been saying all along, and it looks like he has been correct. Tom [Giants fan]
Free agency and the 2006 schedule will probably occur at the same time. Good thing the NFL draft is a bit later this year.

Christ, I cannot wait any longer. I hadn't had my REAL football fix since the beginning of Jan. after the Iggles game against the Skins. Of course I saw some college bowls and the Supe but come on the **** on already! Let's those ****es hug it out and let our teams start signing some players! Tom [Giants fan]
Just think, by the time they straighten all this out and free agency does start, training camp won't be too far away.

aREDSKIN
It'll be a long long day before the owners agree to share or give away and take as the case may be. IMO there will not be an agreement between the LRTs and the HRTs and me thinks that Upshaw thinks this too so his position is based uopn the owners not being able to agree and the blame is placed on the owners and not the union. [/quote']If this goes on much longer it may make the draft very interesting. If the deal isn't agreed upon and there is a massive player purge teams will have to draft for needs in all rounds instead of best player available. I am really sick of this CBA stuff. I need my football fix and "high revenue" vs "low revenue" and gene upshaw ain't doing the trick.
Monte51Coleman
Mortenson also said that Upshaw is not that optimistic about the deal getting done. The use of that statement is mandated by the Organization of Labor Negotiators. Failure to use it repeatedly would result in him being publically shamed at their annual bbq in Tahiti. wskin44
The NFL & the Players Union jointly just announced a new feature to the new labor agreement. It's called FAN HELL. They are building in ridiculous new rules for the final year of the new agreement just so they can torture us again with arcane consequences if the contract is not renewed. It is rumored that they have agreed to draw it out even longer next time just for the fanhellofit.
