I just got some personal bests in weight lifting

Before today, the most I had benched was 160, But today, I benched 185 a total of 8 times, 3 in one set and 5 in another. Also, the most I had leg pressed was 535. Today, I got up to 635 before I stopped because my legs were hurting. On Tuesday, I might try 200 on bench and keep going as far as I can on legs.

good job bro.....make sure not to over train.......

P.S.

Leg press isolates only a few groups.......try doing some side/twist lunges with dumbbells......this exercise is the most underrated one for anyone playing FB,BB,TNS, or BKBL.....

I don’t know if you play line or back ( assuming football ) but if you want to see a serious improvement in your agility do these for 6 weeks twice a week.........Once your motor neurons adjust to this routine you'll start gaining muscle in your hips and butt.....pivotal for players who play read and react sports who need to twist and move side to side......

I don't play football, but I want to try out for the team this year. I will probably end up playing OL/DL since I am 6'3" 246. Oh, and thanks for the tip.

you got it.....bro....

Along with the side lunges make sure to do more INCLINE BENCH PRESS than flat because the motion of you coming off the ball and hitting someone is not straight.....

Remember the idea is not to post great numbers off the field but to post them on the field......

no player/coach in the world will remember how much you can leg press if the other teams RB plows you for the game winning TD.......

very impressive for a 16 year old, don't ignore conditioning and agility though, they are both very important for linemen. (conditioning more for DL)

I assumed he's already running him self to death..... if not do it........you will be playing both sides of the ball

( which is exausting by half time )

Play tight end bro, unless you have hands of stone. Keep up the good work, but change up your workouts here and there, keep your body guessing. And Incline and decline bench press helps too, works different muscles in the chest. :applause:

My sentiments exactly. If you don't run now you better start or it will kill you come training camp.

Dag, thats big. And as stated earlier, do lots of agility training. I know tons of guys who lifted themselves outta sports b/c they wanted to get huge. If you can strech daily and it may sound femnine but Yoga is a really good way to stay loose. It is really important to have a stronger lower body then upper body. But the most important thing you gotta remember is to stick with it, nobody likes a quitter. Except the swedish, they like everybody.
