skinsfanevan
It seems like all of our big time players with big time contracts are restructuring to save us some cap room. Well what about Lavar? I hope this does not mean we are planning to send him elsewhere.
Bhutanibeast
i have no idea, but i hope is agent is talking about restructuring. He is the key in this entire process.
Jofizz
Hopefully the organization will re-structure with him as well. I'm sure he wants to remain in Washington. It's just a matter of time..hopefully he will be on board for the 2006 season.

TD Riggo
My guess is that since Lavar counts $12mill against the cap whether we keep him or ship him out, they are concentrating on restructuring with players who will be better suited to provide immediate cap relief. Lavar's opportunity will come later. Personally, I hope we keep LA because I believe he will return to being the monster he was before the injuries this year. Ant15fromNJ
I hope we keep him forever, retires a Redskin and reworks his contract. It would really be a shame if we would get rid of him because it seems like he really wants to be a skin.
ItaliaMuscle
If he doesn't restructure his contract even I and 56 fan will seriously change my opinion on him.... COME ON LAVAR! breaks my heart that we finally have this team on the right track and that one of the corner stone players who gave us hope when we were in the dark isn't willing sacrifice $ for the good of the team.... Titaw
His contract is hard to restructure if a deal isn't signed. His roster bonus's would be hard if not impossible to convert into guaranteed money because it would violave the 30% rule. Applayers salary cannot increase about 30% each year. If a deal is done than he will almost certainly restructure.

a_good_brotha
I remember a few years ago Lavar was saying that the Redskins as a franchise would turn things around and he wanted to be a part of it. It's time to put your money where your mouth is, LA. (No pun intended).
portis&taylor
either lavar will or i think he is on his way out he really needs to resturcture if he wants to be a true redskin like he says.
SackMachine
I think hes going to restructure, he's probably just busy preparing for next year.
chaz13
I don't think the skins are sure that they want to keep him yet. In order to restructure they would probably have to guarantee his roster bonus, which I believe is due in June. If the skins can get under the cap w/out restructuring Lavar that would give them several months to decide what to do w/ him. If the CBA gets extended and we are able to sign an adequate replacement than we have the option of trading him or cutting him to get him off the books. Also w/ a new CBA we could spread the cap hit over two years. As much as I like Lavar he is way overpaid. These kind of deals are what got us in trouble. Our highest paid player comes off the field on third downs.
Joe Gibbs II
We dont even know what kind of deal Snyder may have done to get the other vets to restructure. Lavar isnt really wanted and maybe its just another message to lavar saying the skins dont want him, although it wouldnt make the most sense... but we also got rid of Trent Green.. so it could happen. Peregrine
As far as everyone knows LaVarr wants to restructure. Whether he can or cant is another matter, and shouldnt be judged upon until we have all the facts.

Cskin
He's asked that his scheduled roster bonus be forfeited for the good of the team. Additionally, he's sued the Poston's for the exact same amount + attorney's fees. :paranoid:
bbuzz1962
56 either jumps on the bandwagon and restructure, or be cut. Yes, Arrington will be cut if he does not agree to restructure. With the way things look, there are not any teams that will match what what the Skins are paying him. It's up to him. Let's see how dedicated he really is to this team. There are a lot of 56 supporters, so for their sake, he better save face.
