qb18_200400
This is good news, let's see if Lavar is serious about being a skin for life now.... I hear that. D Green took less money for Fuc*** Deion to come aboard, now we need LaVar too help out. If he wants to be "Mr Redskin" then he'll do it. I remember Smoot saying" i want to be Mr Redskin" and then he takes the extra 2 million over 5 years from the Vikings. we'll see
PapaDRoc
Great news. Does that also mean that if a deal is made, then all the restructures are void???? BTW, seeing all the "core Skins" restructure for the better of the team makes u realize how our core group of players don't want to play anywhere else. It reminds me of all the Patriots that have taken pay cuts to win Superbowls. Very good to hear. :applause:

skinstzar
It's not up to him You think they didn't even ask him to restructure? I wouldn't be suprised. If this thing gets extended and the cap grows to say 105mil then we can say goodbye to Lavar. Dammit.

RabidFan
Some cuts would have happened either way but all are void and our restructures have not been submitted to the league just agreed upon with the players and FO to submit if and when needed per a deadline. More Complete
Pretty sure that is correct. There are reports that they have a clause in the contract for this yes. Not sure if it's for all of them or just some of them however.
HailSkinz1
Come on Lavar dammit, get on board. From what I've come to understand from the zillions of sports talk shows I listen to and watch, LaVar doesn't need to do anything. We wouldn't be helped greatly by restructuring his deal (this might have something to do with the 30% rule, but I'm not real sure) and we gain nothing by cutting him. So, I think LaVar is status quo. kmast000
DOes anybody remeber Lavar saying he would retire if he gets released? I Seem to remeber him saying that if he could'nt be a Redskis he might retire. If this is the case why is he not willing to take a pay cut in order to help the team? Just how many million is enough?BE Mr. Redskin and step up Lavar.

In fact, his little speech made me tear up! I hope he does step up and restructure.
f_trizzy
The cuts made TODAY are voided due to the 3 day push back. Is it just today or for the last couple days because on ESPN I saw a blurb that said any cuts made during "the period of uncertainty" may be recalled. Wondered if maybe this could extend to Wednesdays cuts too.

I'm glad someone else remembers smoot and how much of a hypocrite he is. I was glad to see him go. I'm not sure if restructuring LA's contract will help us too much, but if it does I am sure he will, or he can prove himself next year on the field. Jofizz
Come on Lavar dammit, get on board. I think if it we're up to LaVar he would have re-structured the day after the loss in seattle. All he can do is hope the team still has some faith in him and let him return in the B&G. He is very aware that us fans want him back but all we can do is hope the organization feels the same way.
