Well... until we moved to the 3-4 he was a vital piece... not so much anymore as a situational player... I hated it because he was a good guy and a good example to kids... You will not sign anyone who's ever sniffed a Pro Bowl in the last 3 or 4 years. Not Glover, no high profile receivers...no one. Give it time. Sad to see him go hes a good player but doesnt really fit in the 3-4 defense but in the 4-3 i expect him to make the pro bowl again next year. I highly doubt the redskins get him.... Y100Rocks
Don't you guys understand the concept there are already a good handful of teams out there with 15-25 million above the cap already!?! Without any cuts. They are the teams that are going to get these guys, and while these players may get a little less money then in other years, its not going to get anywhere to the point where a team that is going to be right up against the wall in trying to just tread water yet again with the cap, will be able to sign them. You, like many teams will clear enough space to get under the cap. You, like many teams will not be adding too many players, let alone pro bowlers. I'll agree on that was, he's an excellent player...that's why I was wondering why Dallas was converting to 3-4 because he isn't a prototypical 3-4 NT
HeHateMe
I'll agree on that was, he's an excellent player...that's why I was wondering why Dallas was converting to 3-4 because he isn't a prototypical 3-4 NT He was an excellent player in our 4-3, and a great person to have in the locker room. Class act all around. But he was completely phased out this season, and he was frustrated. Our defense success had a lot to do with him in the 4-3, but he didnt really have much of any impact last season. Its best for both parties in this instance to part ways. He was in Dallas for 4 seasons, and made the pro bowl all 4 seasons. It's impossible to not love what he brought week in and week out. That will be missed, but we have to move on.
