In fact, a large heaping portion of the problem with a capped league is actions by teams like the Eagles who have the money but prefer to pocket it, leading to the labor strife we'll ultimately be forced to have. There's an element of thanks to that behavior should no CBA be possible because of it, as we then enter a world where you can't compete with us for players because, frankly, your owner covets his money more than ours does. I don't disagree with that. I think Jeff Lurie is a greedy pig. Year after year he's proven to be one of the cheapest owners in the league. We haven't won a Super Bowl trophy but we'll always end up with the Salary Cap trophy. Lurie hasn't shown the fans much at all (except for higher prices and concessions.) But I will revel in this moment. Because other teams are always using the "cheap" line against the Eagles. Well now we look like geniuses. Even for just one year. Yeah you guys looked real smart in 2005, after not signing free agents Derrick Burgess (16 sacks), DT Corey Simon and G Jermaine Mayberry. You especially looked real smart when your team got hit by the injury bug and you no longer had the depth because you let these guys go. Like you said, thank god for Joe Banner who pocketed the money, instead of re-signing his own players. I guess thats why the Skins and Giants kicked your butt last year. Yeah, real smart. We'll see who looks real smart in 2007 when Dan Snyder gets out his check book.

He was always injured. I'm not going to blame the F.O. for that one. The Corey Simon move was dumb. They let him go for nothing. Mayberry is older now and it was time to move on. 2007 will be great for the Redskins won't it? Year after year you guys are strapped for cash and are always way over the cap. But in 2007 there will be no cap. Just want Danny wants. Although I do keep seeing articles around here that he is willing to give in so the CBA can be extended. Right.
