rvan1
From their front page article about the labor crisis: (With regard to teams making drastic cuts) How drastic? There continue to be rumors the Washington Redskins, who extended numerous contracts in the past to deal with previous cap crunches, could have to play with 20 rookies on the roster in 2006. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=pasquarelli_len&id=2348970

bubba9497
just remember sensationalism sells They want to get as many hits and viewers as possible out of a story, and big news items like this... they will spin every fart an owner lets as some big news, with huge headlines. Ever notice that is similar situations, as with this one.... they have reported both pro & con with in hours of each other... giving the extreme possibilities in each case
EvoSkins
There are 4 other teams in worse shape than the Skins and they have had no press. Oakland, Miami, Kansas City, and Tennessee are in worse shape.

Oakland, Miami, Kansas City, and Tennessee are in worse shape. My understanding is that those 4 teams are farther over the cap right now but because of the way the Skins have structured their contracts they will have a tougher time getting under. Of course, the difference is that those 4 teams are run with a tight fist and Danny will do everything within the limits of his wallet to get under. Darth Tater
Old news bro... Yes, they've run a very similar story for each of the last three years. However, I guess if you keep saying the same thing, maybe you'll be right someday. BTW, is 20 rookies on the roster necesarilly a bad thing? Bang
So wait a minute. For years these hacks have yelled that the Redskins need to learn to build in the draft and not thru free agency. And now there's the "RUMOR" that they may have a little over a 3rd of the roster being rookies, and now this is a bad thing. Of course, I'll believe it when i see it. Last year the Eagles had 11 draft picks and were geniuses for potentially choosing to have that many rookies. I'd say Pasquarelli is talking out of both sides of his mouth again, but the Law of Len says that if one side is talking, the other is eating. ~Bang

JWB
Iheard he's mastered the rare talk AND eat out of both sides at the same time  Now that is a true art! Not to hijack the thread, but has anyone seen the video on redskins.com about 1 hour w/ Gibbs at the combine? After one of the media sessions it shows Peter King going up to Gibbs and acting all nice and kissing up. That little brown-noser writes the most **** about the skins and then comes up to Gibbs like that? :hammer: Sorry, had to get that off my chest.
