ptimeskins-11
With all this CBA talk and the Redskins being the team in the worst shape of any team, I beg to disagree. Here are my reasons why. 1. - If we have to cut some big time players and have 15-20 rookies on our team next season, Yeah that will hurt, But we have the best coaching staff in the NFL. Gibbs, Suanders, Williams no matter who we have will coach up this team. People seem to forget we have the best coaching staff, So it will not be that bad. 2. - Remember the strike season in 87, We beat dallas with replacement players and dallas had their star players, What I mean about this is if our talent isn't as good as other teams, Gibbs will get the best out of the players we have. 3. We will still have Portis, Moss, Washington ,Taylor, Samuels, Jansen, Cooley, Griffen, Thomas, Springs. Not to bad. 4. The Redskins have the best fans and that does count. What I'm saying is the reporters predict doom for us. They will be sadly wrong, Plus they act like we are the only team affected by this. So Redskin fans, belive in our team. We will be in the playoffs next season. CBA or not.

NavyDave
No worries If the offense performs with a bunch of no name we are a team players as the defense has done the league is going to really hate us when we do a little tweaking in 2007.
TLusby
Let's keep the team and get depth in this years draft and play the rookies. Next year we can be aggressive in FA and make the push! Start Campbell in 2006 w/o a CBA!
Hooper
Expectations will be low and it will most likely be a tough year -- any way you slice it, we will have no depth at all. The upside is Campbell gets some much needed experience and 2007 and beyond look great.

Darth Tater
Lets remember this: In 2K3 our defense was one of the worst Champ Bailey left and most of the 'sources' thought our secondary was worse CW said we didn't improve our dline, some thought it was worse CW said we probably went backward on our LBs or at least did not improve We ended up going to plan C at MLB (bringing a converted OLB over!) Our 'best' LB was hurt all season We had an rookie at FS who everybody knew was talented but wasn't sure about his maturity With all these handicaps, we produced a top defense. In 2k4, our offense sucked We had a washed up QB In the offseason, we let a number one WR go for a guy who was a #3, taking a major cap hit! We had a back who was nothing but a system back One of our biggest FA signings was a center Our offense improved astronmically! Now lets go back... In 1985, the first team Joe Gibbs built began to get old. Two years later he took that team to the SB (including a win with a team of scabs playing a team of stars)! The year before, the team was probably the second or third best team in the NFL. In 1988, the team fell apart, fell to a losing season. The next season, he fielded a playoff calibre team (I do know that team did not make the playoffs but it was still at that calibre). Point is, at most we'd be talking about a short term problem. If this issue is resolved unfavourably, Gibbs will at most be delayed by a year!
greenhunter7
Everyone is predicting doom for the Redskins and so on, but no one would have thought that the Redskins were a play off team last season a year ago at this time no one would have thought down in the 4th quarter with minutes left on the clock that the Redskins score twice and beat the team from Texas, everything now is just talk and when next season rolls around the Redskins will be ready to damn put the pads on and get it done. I thought our 6-10 record in 2004 under Gibbs was pretty bad.
