twa
Very moving, and your sig gives balance to the loss of a warrior. :notworthy
Titaw
That was tearjerking! I am a former Marine and I have participated in alot of funerals. None like that. Native Americans are the epidomy of society IMHO, yet they were slaughter by the settlers because of Westward Expansion and Eminent Domain. I mourn for all lost in the war, yet I can't see us leaving without accomplishing our mission.
Bonef1de
The sense of community I got while viewing those pic's was absolutely amazing. The tribute that they showed and the participation of active duty Marines was touching.
chomerics
WOW, those are really incredible pictures, I mean there are some incredible photojournalist type pictures in there. Sorry Chom, but the comment was not needed in such a solom thread. I will not allow this thread to turn into something it shouldn't be, sparked by that comment. dreamingwolf
for some politics supercedes everything, I for one found that a pretty moving tribute to a member of their community. I thought the tribute was amazing beyond the photographers skills.

dfitzo53
My teacher for The History of the Vietnam War was a Native American, and she mentioned several times the respect they have for the warrior. Very touching pictures.
Slateman
Moving, moving indeed. I am by no means a sentimental man and in 23 years, I have become quite accostomed to death. But that was possible one of the most moving things I've ever seen.
Air Force Cane
how have you become accustomed to death in 23 years? do you work for the morgue?
Slateman
how have you become accustomed to death in 23 years? do you work for the morgue? Eh just life's lot I suppose. Mother died when I was young. More family as the years went on. Made friends with lots of guys in the military, some of whom have also given their lives in service of their country. Volunteered at a hospital and ended up in the cancer ward. I'm sorry, I meant no disrespect, I was just trying to add a little perspective. Air Force Cane
I don't think anyone thought you were being disrespectful, I was just curious how someone so young can become inured to death. as for me, experiencing death firsthand makes me more emotional about it rather than less..
