rincewind
Could somebody please explain why artists find it necessary to hide tracks on albums? I mean why not just tell me there are 13 tracks instead of 12? It might even boost sails. Plus, they are usually after 2 minutes of dead air after the last track (though Blind Melon actually had one before the first track) - you could even add another song into that dead air. Is there a reason for hidden tracks? Anyone.

Crappy part about that is you end up with a 38 minute song, a la the Deftones "Around the Fur." Song 12 is 38 minutes long and it is a good song too. about a minute into my ipod I figure out what is going on.

That song is called "Damone" and I agree, it's a great song, and a pain in the ass...LOL. I just downloaded that song from limewire so I didn't have to deal with the long gap in nothingness.... Heidenreich
I always thought they were there so you couldn't "Shuffle" the CD in your CD player. It would just get annoying when the shuffle went to track 31, played 5 seconds of dead air, then shuffled again.......
TK
I like playing the song backwards and hearing the message. I did that with Shout At The Devil. It told me to go to church & to tithe. :paranoid:
Brad89
I think original idea was that people would buy the CDs because they'd be getting a 'hidden track' or two. However, I guess they forgot that programs can cut silences and export sections of a song into it's own.

DJCrash34
I remember when I was younger I thought it was cool, that there were hidden tracks...now it's just annoying...I have some cds that have like 6-8 tracks of dead air after the last song before it even gets to the hidden track...Just list them all
