Flutie, drop kick, and ebay. Fake?

I love how he says "accompanied by a letter of authenticity," and then when asked who the LOA is from, he's like "Oh, I wrote it."   What a maroon.

Not to mention the number one rule of ebay: DON'T BID FROM SOMEONE WHO WRITES IN ALL CAPS. I'm willing to bet 9 times out of 10 it is a dishonest listing.

But they lined up to run a play, so the field goal net probably wasn't up. I can't verify that, though.

Interesting question. I wonder if they put the net up as SOP after a touchdown, or if they wait to see if a play is being run.

It seems to me the chances are it's a fake. If it was real, he would probably have documents from a law firm stating that witness statements will accompany the football. I think that is usually how these matters are handled (e.g., Barry Bonds homerun ball). He offers his own letter of authenticity, that's hilarious!

Two things i love about this auction.

1. This guy has a sparkling reputation from his past auctions. A whopping rating of ZERO meaning he either has never sold on ebay before or created a new account.

2. No one actually won the auction because he set a really high reserve. Apparently 33,000 isnt good enough for him

The ball is a Genuine Wk-17 ball, but I can almost GUARANTEE that it is NOT the ball kicked. The patriots lined up to run a 2 pt. conversion play which means they would have a ball that they use for regularly run plays, NOT A KICKING BALL!!! The "K" on each side of the air hole indicates that it is a kicking ball. Thus, it is not the ball that was dropkicked!
