Mixed Drink suggestions/recipes

I usually take shots straight up, mostly because I am better than most people and I like to show off, but when just chilling and drinking, aiming for something a bit tastier and a lot stronger than most of beers that are sold at Wal Mart then I mix drinks.

Does everyone have really good. (I am not talking elaborate here something on the freshmen college level if you know what I mean.) My personal favorit is a mix of Sprite, Powerade (any color, but preferably blue), and any vodka (preferably cheap and 80-100 proof, usually Smirnoff vodka or Aristocrat). If using a standard 16 oz cup use 4-5 shots of vodka and fill up the rest with half sprite and half powerade evenly.

Dr. Pepper or Cherry coke and Southern Comfort is really good one too.

Not just any 18 year old mind you. We take alcohol very seriously here at JMU, all part of a very well rounded education.

as all college kids do...been there...done that.

Here is one recipe for when you are entertaining the ladies. Mix Malibu Rum, Amaretto, Cranberry, and Pineapple. Guaranteed to make the ladies love you....as long as you aren't the hunchback of notre dame.

I know they're kinda sheshe right now but Mojitos really are good. Not too sweet, plenty of booze and particularly tasty when it's hot.

1 part lime juice

1 part rum of choice

3 parts club soda

mint

Sugar if you want

crush the mint at the bottom of a tall glass. Pour in the lime juice and rum and stir. Add ice and club soda. Yummers!

My fraternity in college, we would make "jungle juice" for our parties. It was a half gallon of vodka, a half gallon of rum, a half gallon of grain, like a hundred little packs of koolaide mix, and water into a cooler. You could hardly taste the alcohol, but you definitely felt it later. People accused us of putting rufees in it, but that was not true. It was just a really potent mix that tasted great.

There are some other notables as well:

White Russian: 1/2 part vodka, 1 part Kahlua, and milk. When mixed right it tastes like chocolate milk. The way you're supposed to drink it though is not mixed at all, just layered.

Spiced Captain Morgan and coke (my personal favorite).

Bacardi also makes Wild Berry flavored rum, and cocunut flavored rum. Both taste really good mixed with coke.

What would putting rufees in it even accomplish? That would just knock you both out.
