i have already made my sinorice post, but earlier this offseason i had mentione d that we may be able to get wiilie ried late. he is the FSU alltime return leader and per nfl network he was the fastest of the WRs in the 40. i believe he is about 6ft even about 185 or so , i might be wrong. i think he could be a great late pick, both as a special teamer and 3rd WR

Willie is a special player -- he had to fight through injuries early in his career, was moved back and forth from RB to WR several times before playing all year his senior year as a WR and PR. He is an FSU fan favorite because of his toughness, dedication, and personality.

The Hokie fans should remember him well - his PR for a touchdown was a game changer in the ACC Championship. Then, he returned another one for a TD in the Orange Bowl against Penn State. He was the MVP of the OB even though FSU lost; he was also the MVP of the ACCCG.

He makes tough catches in traffic and makes the deep catch as well. No, he is not the tall receiver many fans would like to see (only 5-10), but he has the most important abilities for a WR -- HANDS, ROUTE RUNNING, & YAC (at least in college). He was a TB in HS and moved to WR in the FSU system due to need. He works his butt off and it shows.

I'm not suggesting he should be our first pick, but if we can get him in the mid rounds, we may be getting a steal. I was so happy to see that he ran a 4.37 at the combine!!! He may get all of the attention that deserves now. I'm an FSU homer, but I'm telling you this is the kind of player I want to see on the Redskins.

Wussup modaddy, Fsu fan here too. Yeah I wish we could get Willie too, but that would only be possibly in the 5th round since we don't have a 4th round pick.

Hopefully for him he will be gone by then and go in the 3rd or 4th round...

-I read on Warchant.com about how Leon Washington was excited about the fact that he got to do a interview with Ernest Byner at the combine.

There's a couple of us running around this board. Good looking out. I was wondering about the lack of pub that Willie was getting in the pre-combine discussions...thinking that it Willie might fall to late in the draft and be a steal for somebody (hopefully us). But that probably isn't going to happen now, and I'm extremely glad for him. He is going to be a real gem for somebody.

I'm also really excited for Leon...he would be a great addition to the Skins...he could serve as a backup to Portis and he brings a similar kind of game...he is going to make some team very happy as well as long as he can stay healthy.

I've got a feeling one one of the Auburn WRs is going to find his way onto the Redskins' roster. Aromashodu ran a 4.35ish and is 6'1", Obomanu ran a 4.40ish and is 6'1", and Mix ran a 4.45ish and is 6'5".

The connection of these guys to JC is intriguing...and I someone is going to fall to a mid to later round.

I have seen talk on sites such as nfldraftcountdown.com that Mix will be a TE in the NFL. One of the knocks is his speed/agility, but he may have answered that at the combine! I am one that believes that one of our top two picks is going to be a TE who is know for his pass-catching ability. From that point of view Mix may be a fit.

We'll see...

well iam also a FSU fan but i didnt want to appear as a homer with willie, cuz i really do believe he would be a great pick specially late. free agent wise i am routing for petey warrick to be signed. if you will recall he lobbied to be picked by the Redskins when he came out. we need a good returner (or at least one that can catch) that can also fill a need at WR. i want joe jureuwhatever as well though.

I am another FSU fan, and I think Willie Reed would be a good fit for the team. Surely, he can't be any worse at WR than Taylor Jacobs has been. Also, he fills an important role as a PR, especially since Brown makes spotty decisions when fielding a punt. He would be a good pick if available in the 3rd round or later.
