Sweet Sassy Molassy
Good interview. Said that we are prepared for whatever happens, CBA or not, we have a plan for worse case scenario, and best case. Also, talked about the 6 game run we had toward the end of the season, said the players just took it upon themselves, gives them all the credit. QBs: Thinks that Brunell has a couple of good years left. Thinks highly of Ramsey, he's been through some tough times here and he knows Patrick is frustrated. Also, spoke a bit about Campbell, thinks the world of the guy. He feels really comfortable with our QB situation. About coming back to football: Wondered why he came back early on, but he loves the fans, the players, the city, etc. The Redskins unite DC, it's not about white/black, liberal/conservative (aka Chomerics/Sarge ), but all about the Redskins. Wouldn't want to coach anywhere else. Al Saunders: Mora said that he couldn't believe that Joe would be giving up the play calling duties. Joe says that when you look at it, Al and him come from the same background believe in the same philosophies so it'll be a lot easier to deal with. However, this is still a group effort, and they are all working together. Getting under the cap: Eisen joked that Joe could have Portis dress up as one of his characters and sign him to the minimum to get under the cap. Joe said that might work. Went on to say that he really loves CP, he has a great sense of humor, and sometimes CP will just say stuff that will really just crack him up. Said about the costumes, that he would have tried to stop it if he thought Clinton was badmouthing other teams or players, or trying to make it all about himself. But CP was only having fun. Also, Clinton wanted to stop after about the 3-4 fourth time dressing up, but the team was having so much fun with it, that they said he couldn't stop, especially since we were winning. Said that other players were bringing in costumes for Clinton to wear. The great thing about Clinton is that he's physical when he's on the field, and that's what he love about him the most. Draft: Joe asked if Rich was going to try out for the team. Eisen said that he wanted to, he ran a 40 for Joe last year and didn't look so great Joe said. Said that he worked out in the past year, and tried again, shaved off half a second on his forty time (Eisen ran his forty in a suit btw). Joe told a story about his first stint as coach, before there was a combine, and talked about the year he had to oversee the forty times, and there was one guy who was wearing a suit, fully decked out. Suffice to say, he didn't sign that guy. Good stuff.

Sweet Sassy Molassy
Haha thanks for the update. I'll take it Joe didnt actually talk about getting under the cap, and just about Portis' costumes? Well he didn't go very in-depth in the teams plans, if that's what you're asking. He did mention that they'd have to work on restructuring guys contracts. Talked about Lavar in that statement, saying that when you have a guy who makes that much money, he's going to be one of the first that you talk to when it comes to saving yourself some cap space. But outside of that he didn't go too deep in those "confidential" areas.

And the few generic sentences about the cap & QB's ought to be enough to inspire several threads and many posts claiming a wide variety of things Yeah, his comments, when they asked some of the more specific questions, were more generic than anything. He didn't tell what the plans were for Ramsey, for instance, or what was going to happen with Campbell and Brunell this coming season. You could tell he was trying not to tip his hand too much. Man i cant wait till this damn CBA crap is done.
Trevor
One of the interesting things Gibbs said was that Gregg Williams felt what he faced in Campbell during scout team was often tougher than the actual team they played.

barefoot
Thanks for the info, it's a relief to hear JG actually say that the team is prepared reguardless of the CBA outcome, never doubted it, but this is comforting.
