Chief skin
Bush senior and his advisers apparently are a helluva lot smarter then King W and his henchmen. During the Iraq war which removed Saddam forces from Kuwait the U.S government was questioned as to why not march into Baghdad and remove Saddam and free Iraq. The answer back then appears to be correct even today, Bush, Baker, Scowcroft, Powell, and Shwortzkopf all thought that the factions Sunni, Shia, Kurds, which had been fighting with each other since ancient times were not capable of forming and running a Government that included all Iraqis. Thus, they foresaw a civil war that would send the entire region in to crisis and place U.S forces in the middle of a civil war. With the unfortunate events of the past week King W is fufilling the grim prohecy of Bush senior and his advisers the moral of the story is Father knows best. Thiebear
Your going to have to remove the King W... as a King imposes his will and rules a country and Bush is moving more and more into LameDuck territory. So far it does seem to be a fruitless cause as the Gov't / Cleric types / Civil leaders / Police are not putting forth enough effort to hold the country together right now. *And I'm the optimistic one *

Hopefully this will become the Great Expansion into the Middle East, rather than Beginning of Downfall of the Roman Empire.

As I said in another thread, Religion is not something that you can mess with easily. How many wars have been fought over the years because of Religion? People have no problem dying for their faith and people have no problem dying for power. A deadly combination.
