renaissance
Soooo, boat shoes with black Nike socks - when and why did this become a thing? Seems especially popular among high school/young 20's looking guys and it's pretty ridiculous looking.
Skins4Life6388
I mostly see "lax bros" with this look. I personally dont understand it at all.
renaissance
I mostly see "lax bros" with this look. I personally dont understand it at all. Yea it's pretty prevalent in Annapolis, but I've seen a few guys in Rockville sporting it to.
Mr. Sinister
Boat shoes? I wear black nike crew socks (and normally crews in general, unless I'm wearing khakis or something like that), but only when I have on black basketball shoes.
MissU28
I really like boat shoes on guys, though I can't get my boyfriend to wear them But with black nike socks? I haven't seen it, but it doesn't sound good.

I can honestly say that I'd have to strongly fight the urge not to slap the hell out of any guy that would ever walking around looking like that. That's like a 9.0 on the Bamma Scale. That's worse than the cats who wear the grandpa socks with sandals (not sure if they still do that, as I haven't seen any in the last 5-6 years) Edited June 28, 2012 by Mr. Sinister

Mr. Sinister
Usage of the word Bamma is hilarious That's one of the few words that I've picked up from some of my friends However, I only reserve it for the most heinous of offenses, to which black crew socks /boat shoes definitely apply. That is just sad. Edited June 28, 2012 by Mr. Sinister

Koolblue13
Boat shoes are like the members only jackets for your feet.
Mr. Sinister
I don't particularly like the way that those shoes look, but if I were to wear something similar, I probably wouldn't be wearing socks, or I'd be wearing extremely low cut socks, and would be dressed very casual. If you wear crew socks with that, you should be mocked and ridiculed. Edited June 28, 2012 by Mr. Sinister

Yeah, if I were to ever wear something like that with socks, they damn sure wouldn't be visible. If I was actually even on a boat, I probably still wouldn't wear those. Nah I'd go with shoes like these (I actually have an all black pair that look somewhat similar: Other than that, I'd probably go with regular sandals. The only time I might wear flip flops is if I'm using an outdoor shower or something.

Koolblue13
I have these exact (by which I mean color and not womans lol) water sneakers. They have mesh holes in the bottom and are great for hiking and running too. I wear them for the hell of it at times. Cheap also. On a boat, bare feet always and only.
