wysknz1
Long time sports announcer Curt Gowdy died yesterday at the age of 86 from a bout with leukemia. He was born in Green River Wyoming in 1919 and died Monday at home in Florida. The first game he announced was a 6 man game between Saint Mary's and Pine Bluffs in Cheyenne in 1944. He went on to call many baseball games college football and several superbowls. Curt was definately not a homer and always called a fair and even game no matter who was playing. I even get to fisha and rabbit hunt in Curt Gowdy State Park between Cheyenne and Laramie. Here's to you Curt RIP:cheers:
tr1
I went from liking the guy to hating him to liking him again. I especially enjoyed his trout fishing adventures on film at the end of his career.

Shotgunner
I remember sitting on the couch and watching sports and Gowdy was commentating when the camera stopped on one attractive lady, Gowdy comments "doesn't she look delicious " I was like wow I can't believe he just said that! However I did like a lot of his work.
