supafly
I was curious if it was possible to have another team pay for one of our players, utilizing their salary cap instead of ours. Like ohhhh say we wanted to trade Ramsey to the Jets if they give us a player and pay x amount of his salary...?
ImmortalDragon
It could be worked into the trade, but I'm not sure if it is within the rules of the league.

supafly
I think it could be a nice little loop, if we paid that team for some other sort of service and they utilized their salary cap to pay for our player..
MoeRedskins
I think that only works in baseball and basketball, I think the NFL pay rules are pretty set in that current team pays all base salary and former team pays all the bonuses (so they sort of do it anyway)
PleaseGoForTheWin
Yea, I don't think that you can do this in the NFL, but I don't see why not. Seems like it gives you more options when making trades.
Jerrod6002
From what I understand. The team that is taking the player in trade pays their base salary and all bonuses that are due from that point. The team that is trading the player will take an immediate salary cap hit for the proration of the signing bonus that they were spreading out over the life of the contract.
