Huly
Pez and I just got back from Denver. If you ever hear me say I am going out there again please remind me to just say NO. It broke a record Saturday morning from the 1880's it was negative 13 degrees. With the wind chill it was negative 25. I have never been so cold in my entire life.

Huly
The worst part is I was there for a wedding so I had to wear a formal dress and I was dumb enough to bring only strappy sandals to wear with it! My feet are still defrosting.
Barney B
Yeah, I've been outside in wind chills of minus 30. You can't stay out for more than a minute or two before it becomes intolerable. Don't forget not to go to Denver again.

Huly
At our hotel bar, we did meet a guy who grew up with John Riggins. They played high school football together among other sports and he told pez all kinds of stories.

Larry
I seem to recall another Extremer's report from there. He'd left New Orleans the day before Katrina with a suitcase. While in Denver, he decided that that suitcase represented essentially everything he now owned. Depressed, he flew to Atlanta(?) to see his girlfriends parents. The airline lost his luggage. TC4
That reminds me of NASCAR racer Elliott Sadler's older brother Hermie's wedding. The Sadler clan is from my home town here in Virginia It was in February of 1996, and was to be held outdoors in tents Well, that morning, they got 8 inches of snow
fuji869
The funny thing is it can warm up from -13 in a couple of days. I use to live in Denver amd my last winter was 1998 and it got down to -18 but then about 4 days later it was 40 and I was walking around in a T Shirt because it felt warm. I remember one New Years day I was in shorts it was so nice. The weather changes so drastically in the Mile High City.
skinsfan44
WOW!!! -13 degrees. That is even cold for ME. That had to be brutal for a "Southern Bell" like yourself, Huly. Brrrrrrrr.

Renegade7
Didn't they legalize marijuana in Denver? You can have up to an ounce, legally. Shot, if it was that cold, I would've just stayed inside.
zoony
Don't go to Denver again. I watch the weather channel a lot and the unpredictability of Denver weather always strikes me. In January it will show 50 degrees one day and 3 the next, etc. There really is no predictability or logic in the weather patterns out there. I mean, if it were just cold there that would be one thing. But it seems like they get heat waves in the middle of the winter, too. Wild, wacky stuff. rincewind
Is that Denver? It looks gorgeous. Yep, thats Denver. Funny thing is most people think its in the Rockies - when its actually about 15 miles east. Denver is actually a pretty flat town, its just a mile above sea level. It does offer some amazing views though - when the smog level is low - yes, pollution is horrible there.
Huly
It was cold and I was own3d by the weather. It sucked. I swear I get no respect nor sympathy from any of you. Y'all think it is funny. So Did HSF when I called her. No respect!
