We need to use that play more often... it was a good play by Portis becuase you saw he was suppose to go one way becuase the FullBack was headed that way, Which pulled the defence over towards that direction and Portis went to the left and was gone. And Awfull play turned REALLY REALLY good.

Yes that was amazing, I thought that it was going to be our year the second after that play. Then of course we went on to display some of the worst offensive performances in the history of the NFL.

I heard that wasnt even the play called. that at the line of scrimmage CP faked like he was gonna run the play, but then just split and ran the other way to the house. great play, I cant wait to see another long run for CP.

I use to live in Denver and went back in May 04 (right after the Bailey / Portis trade) for vacation. All I heard from my Bronco friends was how we got the short end of the trade for the usual reasons.

I remember yelling in joy after the run "IT MUST BE THE SYSTEM, IT MUST BE THE SYSTEM" Yea no one heard me but it made me fell better!

I was there and I was doing a lil play by play for my wife who at the time didn't really understand the game. It was something like this:

"Portis gets the ball and oh my god, OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, HOLY SCHITT!!! HE IS GONE!!!"

I went on to start hugging and giving high fives to people who I never met. Until this past season, I never been part of something so loud and so crazy in my life. Damnit that was a good day.

What struck me about that play was the incredible blocking by the RT and the near side WR. It is hard to make out who they are but I believe Jansen was out for the year so maybe it was Ray Brown and the WR looks like Thrash.

Why don't you check his TD runs against Philly and the Giants when he beat defensive backs to the outside to get his TD's. He still has the speed.

What, do you think age has crept up on him after one season? :doh: He is still just as fast as he was when we first picked him up. he's like 25 or 26. You talk about him like he's 40 years old out there running and getting ready to break a hip. What next Campbell has arthritis in his throwing shoulder?! :laugh:

CP is DA MAN! I remember that 1st play like it was yesterday......but then he got like 4 more touchdowns in the next 15 games.... which sucked. but whatever no sense looking in the past.... we should be excited about next year.
