Status Quo?

I have a question for everyone. If we did no large moves, and went into the season with the same basic team as this year, do we win more games or do we take a step back?

I think, that if we do nothing, we will be a better team. Patten will be coming back (while that might not add much it is better that Taylor of Parris playing), Al Saunders is going to improve the O. Carlos Rogers will have a year under his belt and Harris can then move back to nickle. Plus, you can never stress enough what keeping a team together does for team cohesion.

I feel that we are a passing game away from winning everything, and that can be fixed with grooming JC.

While I would love to see a big name come to DC, I would like to see the Redskins win with true Redskins players, not outsiders who finally decided to come to DC just because we are starting to get good. I want to win with the players who have helped turn this ship around. There are always rookies that could add to the team.

But hey, lets go out and get TO and be good for one year. That would be a hell of ride.

I share the same feelings. I would want to become a Patriots-like team. I don't want to bet the farm to win one Super Bowl only to spiral into mediocrity immediately afterwards.

You know what they say about beggers and choosers. We have been bad for so long, I wouldnt mind a flash in the pan, quick Superbowl win. Then we could blow the "over the cap" team up and start from scratch with young cheap players. Gibbs would retire with another Superbowl under his belt and in our trophy case. Then Williams or Saunders would take the helm and we would be on a roll again. The only reasn we were bad for so long is because of the unstable coaching situation. We're good in that dept now.

I don't expect any big signings (though you have to go for opportunites that present themselves). I'm looking for depth. If we avoid the critical injury, we go to the SB (I've been watching SBs since 1973 and that's ALWAYS been a key if the team's good enough to get to the playoffs and is also one of the major differences between good teams and the also-rans).

I agree that the current stable coaching situation is a key factor. . .I also have to say I'm a sucker for the "team" concept. . . I love that Gibbs goes after heart and character and I think the team chemistry the 'Skins have now would make the 2006 team even better than last yr with no roster changes.

NO WAY, WE DEFINITELY NEED ANOTHER TOP WIDE RECEIVER TO HELP OUR OFFENSE. SANTANA MOSS CAN'T CATCH IN DOUBLE COVERAGE. LIKE THE EVERYONE KNOWS HE NEEDS HELP, BUT I DO LIKE THE IDEA OF T.O. HE'S A GREAT RECIEVER. AL SAUNDERS MAY BE A GREAT OFFENSIVE SPECIALIST, BUT HE'S NOT EXICUTING THE PLAYS.
