Khun Kao
Did anyone else have a hard time figuring out who should be MVP? I think Hines Ward was a good choice, but the Steelers were stumbling and bumbling their way to victory. It was hard to choose.....
fight_on_til_you_have_won
Yeah, that was my thought too. It's not very often a guy gets Super Bowl MVP even though he dropped an easy touchdown pass.
airborneskins
I thought the officials should have been the MVP. I truly didn't think that anyone on the Steelers deserved it. But I guess they had to give it to a Pittsburgh player because they won. Oh well, Atleast next year it will be a Redskin winning the SB MVP. People act like the Hawks owned the Steelers and got ripped or something. Gimme a break.
Shallow1
I like that Ward was gracious about pointing out the fact that he should have played better "To be named MVP is a great honor, but I still left some plays out on the field," Ward said after the game. "I could have had an even better day.", but he will take the MVP and th Escalade. carlsbadd
Ward deserved it hands down. The reverse for a good gain and making that catch near the goal line that was badly underthrown and the TD catch from EL. He really was the only playmaker that made more than 1 good play. Gimme a break. Neither team was very good last night. What pissed me off the worst (and yes, having grown up in Seattle, i was rooting for Seattle) was the fact that every time the Seahawks got something going the officials called a penalty (that probably shouldn't have been called). They took away 2 touchdowns that were questionable. I just can't shake this feeling in my stomach that the officials wanted the Steelers to win last night (or it could be the alcohol ). I don't even care that Seattle lost, I just wish that the game would have been called properly. The only reason that I am semi happy with the Superbowl last night was because Bettis ( a ND alum ) went out with a SB ring.
Awgustlab
The MVP award should have actually gone to Randle El in my opinion. I also thought about it before they announced it and figured he was the best choice. Willie Parker had a shot for that one long run, and Ward was a decent choince, but I still think it ahould have went to Randle El.
smashmowf
Big Ben did have great stats and had an int, but he made some crucial plays that a lot of QQBs wouldn't have done
gimpy007
If anyone gets the MVP it should be Jerramy Stevens. I think he helped the Steelers win more then any other player that plays for the Steelers. How many passes did he drop?
