michael_33
There have been many teams that have had Great Dou's of paired recievers such as Rice and Taylor,Swan and Stallworth,Irvin and Harper, the Marks Brothers and so on.... But what team in your opinion had the Best 3 set Recievers of all time? I find it VERY difficult to find a team that was better than Art Monk,Gary Clark and Ricky Sanders!! Maybe Houston when they had Irving Fryer,Drew Hill and Webster Slaughter?and of course Hall famer Warren Moon!(also with earnest Givens)... The Rams should probably be in there...with Issac Bruce,Torry Holt and Az Zahir Akim or Ricky Proel...whichever?Probably the best 4 set? I remember the Chargers with Fouts...with John Jefferson,Charlie Joiner and winslow...but winslow was a TE...!they were good... Raiders had Biletnicoff,Branch and Casper..(also TE)..they were awesome..)! But the Posse was able to win 22 and 26 I believe? Are they the best? and if not, where would you rank them...?out of say 10....?? And better yet...If Santana is the first piece or second with cooley in the mix,who would fit the perfect mold to complete our 2 wr-TE posse set. Cause if were going to win the Superbowl next season..I don't think Taylor Jacobs is that guy!or even perhaps David Patten?Nice #3 though!

scruffylookin
I doubt you'll find 3 Wide Receivers on a single team at the same time better than The Posse. They're certainly the best 3 some of wideouts that I can remember ever seeing.
visionary
Moss, Carter, and Reed were good, but did not last together for too long.

ChiefPowhatan17
#2 behind Rice, Taylor and Clark, unfortunately.
gridironmike
#2 behind Rice, Taylor and Clark, unfortunately. Clark is a TE listed at WR because of the West Coast Offense. Are we going to add Didier to the equation? Who was the #3 behind Rice and Taylor? Roger Craig (RB)? What would Art Monk's number have been in the WCO? What would Monk's numbers have been if he had played with Rice? Rice, Taylor, and Clark together: 1987 - 98 receptions, 1519 yds, 27 td Thats it. They were together ONE year. The same year from Monk, Clark, & Sanders together: 1987 - 131 receptions, 2179 yds., 16 td Monk, Clark, and Sanders were together from the 1986 season through the 1992 season. Here are their combined stats: Seven seasons, 612 receptions, 19178 yds, 124 TDs Monk and Clark (only) were together in 1985: 163 receptions, 2152 yds, 7 TDs Monk and Sanders (only) were together in 1993: 99 receptions, 1036 yds, 6 TDs
gridironmike
Moss, Carter, and Reed were good, but did not last together for too long. They were together in '98, '99, and '01. 3 seasons, 604 receptions, 8505 yds, 76 TDs The Rams should probably be in there...with Issac Bruce,Torry Holt and Az Zahir Akim or Ricky Proel...whichever?Probably the best 4 set? They (Bruce, Holt, Hakim) were together in '99, '00, and '01. 3 seasons, 571 receptions, 9313 yds, 61 TDs Add Proehl to the three year totals here and you get: 3 seasons (4 receivers), 675 receptions, 10666 yds, 70 TDs Bruce, Holt, and Proehl were together from '99 through the '02 season: Four seasons, 760 receptions, 11724 yds, 70 TDs Maybe Houston when they had Irving Fryer,Drew Hill and Webster Slaughter?and of course Hall famer Warren Moon!(also with earnest Givens)... They didn't play together. Irving Fryar never played for the Oilers (New England, Miami, Philly, Washington). Drew Hill played for the Oilers from 1985 through 1991. Slaughter played for the Oilers from '92 through '94. Givens played with Hill. Givens was with the Oilers from '86 through '94.
