PleaseGoForTheWin
This should pretty much put an end to all of the TO hoopla. Now let's wait a couple of months until we can sign a No. 2.
Om
So the story, basically, is that there was no story. Sometimes I wonder if we weren't better off before Gutenberg invented Al Gore.
Die Hard
So the story, basically, is that there was no story.Sometimes I wonder if we weren't better off before Gutenberg discovered Al Gore. Again, we see the need for Redskins unfiltered. If it isn't the WP, it's SI, ESPN, or PFT.
ceviker
Not to add fuel to the fire, but last year about Campbell (I belive patsabelly first broke the story), when it leaked, didn't cerrato come out and say that we will not trade picks with denver? i can't remember for sure what happened, just wondering,

We never denied it, or confirmed it.
zoony
Well this story certainly turned out to be a giant turd... but just for perspective, let's all remember that the Jason Campbell story broke in a similar fashion last year. Except it was pastabelly, not king. And no, you wouldn't get it on Redskins unfiltered. :2cents: I'm happy for all the information... sure you get some duds, but I never want to rely on just one source. Hardcoreskinsfan
We should just count our blessings that we are NOT gonna get TO. He is not the kind of player we need right now. Hence what Ol' Cerrato said. We'll get what we're looking for at WR, just not sure who or how we'll come about it.
skinz1972
we need T.O team wont be able to gameplan around him SM or CP or cooley, they will be basically picking their poison.why cant u pll see this?T.O made mcnabb look like a hall of famer in 2004
RWJ
I wouldn't mind Givens of the Patriots as our No. 2 WR.

I think it's ironic that you don't think Gibbs can win now without a particular player.
worm
why cant u pll see this?T.O made mcnabb look like a hall of famer in 2004 What part of "We think he's an outstanding player, but he just doesn't fit us." and "Universally, they have said he is not the kind of player Gibbs is building the Redskins with, and would not fit with the club." don't you understand?. GrimReefa
I'm sure the team will shut this one down later today. Chalk up another lucky guess for andyman. That's like what? 300 in a row? Hey andy - what is The Daniel having for breakfast tomorrow?
Spaceman Spiff
gotta wonder why king started this crap. i mean the FO was SO quick in shooting this down which tells me it was never an option to begin with....if we were really considering this, the FO might have confirmed it or said nothing at all while making negotiations. Those days are over for sports "journalist" when it comes to the Redskins. These hacks can't understand the Dan Snyder of 2006, is not the Dan Snyder of 2000. Gibbs has been running the show for 2 years, the Skins FO has done a complete 180 in that time... still, they cling to old theories. Lazy journalism, only in sports do reporters get by with this type crap. Let a real journalist, report a speculation story as a fact, and see what happens. DaveP666
Do we want TO on our team? We need a number 2 WR for sure, but all he would do would moan he wasn't the number 1, upset the QB, Moss, the D... the fans... i'd stay well clear. What the team needs is a durable, reliable Art Monk type, who can catch those clutch 3rd down plays and keep his gob shut. Moss is our number 1. tr1
Ok, now can we expect some sanity about TO never ever becoming a Redskin while JG is here? If we passed on Randy Moss, there was no chance we'd go after TO... All those wasted bytes...
kmast000
I heard on the junkies this morning that they brought TO in for a physical about two weeks ago. But they took him to Fedex field instead of ashburn maybe to keep things hush hush.

But they took him to Fedex field instead of ashburn maybe to keep things hush hush. The more I've listened to them over the years, the more I realize they either don't actually know anything about the NFL (the 'Skins, in particular) or they just try to stir the pot knowing no one will call them on it. kmast000
I think it was a former cheerleader the called in and told them about this. She called in just this morning. Sorry I was just relaying what I heard it might not be credible.
