KingGibbs
Meet Dozer the Mastif. Some friends of ours went on a cruise and we watched this nine month old Mastif that's right NINE MONTHS! He's a beast but surprisingly well behaved, loveable and still has alot of "puppy" in him. The other picture is of him and my boy Gambler. Gambler is actually a big Lab, but not standing next to Dozer. They did nothing but play the entire time and chasing Dozer around the house with a towel to catch his never ending drool was fun. great dog though. This is my first experience with a Mastif and if I could only get past the drooling, I would seriously contemplate getting one. Like I said, an awesome dog. BTW- Sorry about your loss. CrazyZeb
We've had four Mastiffs now, the best type of dog, but they unfortunately have a short lifespan. Only one of ours had a drooling problem, and that was just when he saw food. That dog would wait outside my room for 3 hours just for a pizza crust. Good dogs. DeanCollins
Nice dog, I had a 160lb. female (trixey) when I was a child from3-10, her and our 25lb. siamese cat slept in my single bed and I usually wound up on the floor.

SkinsD
Dannnng that is a big dog! But yes I would babysit that mutt for a week. My aunt has this tiny pug that jumps at me and scrathes the hell out of my shins - this dog is incredibly hyper, I'm sure it is smokin meth on the side. Big dogs (human or canine) are usually cool, lazy, and subdued.

The drooling wasn't as bad as I make it sound. It mostly took place after he drank water, but he drank a lot of water due to him my Lab CONSTANTLY playing. My Lab is almost seven and is as rambunctious as he was when he was a puppy.

My wife fell in love with a 4mo old little pit girl and we signed the adoption papers yesterday. We found Geico/Travelers will not renew our policy because of the dog (they ban something like 9 breeds, including huskies and just added mastiffs). Called Allstate, only dog prohibtion is with dogs with a prior history (not breed specific, dog specific) and actually saved about 300.00 a year for the same level of coverage we had with travelers. I'll walk my Lab around the neighborhood and these small yapping dogs act like they are possessed.

And what is it with mastiffs and pizza crusts. I never had a dog that cared one way or another, but ours would nuts if she saw a pizza box.
