DjTj
I'm sure Beijing told MLB that they wouldn't play unless Taiwan was named "Chinese Taipei," wasn't allowed to display their flag, and wasn't allowed to play their national anthem ... They should've dumped China, put Australia in the Asia bracket, and found another Latin American country, but I'm sure Bud Selig didn't want to say goodbye to the potential Chinese market. Anyhow, it's par for the course. If the UN won't give Taiwan a seat, the United States won't give Taiwan an embassy, and the Olympics force Taiwan to go by "Chinese Taipei," you can't really expect baseball to stick its neck out here.
