This is another reason why the Saunders hiring should get everyone excited... Hall excelled with Saunders and now Saunders will be able to draw up plays for a much better version of Hall in Moss

i can't wait to see what saunders can do with moss :point2sky

Hall did not excel at WR with Saunders.

He never got more than 40 catches.

maybe next time i'll do some research before i post

but still... what i was getting at is that Saunders has worked well with speedy receivers before and now he'll get a chance to work with an even better one

Hopefully he will advise Gibbs to make Santana Moss a punt returner if we dont get Randel El. Good punt returners can completely change field position.

Good point. However, thats probably up to the special teams coach. We need someone dangerous back there, though, thats for damn sure.

I think with Saunders as coordinator Moss will rebreak the records he set this year.

That would scare me too much. The last thing we need is to see Santana miss the season recovering from an injury on a punt return. He is way too valuable as a receiver, and should never be returning kicks. My heart would pound every time he got hit, until I saw him get up safely. Although, I am in favor of bringing back a 28 year ols Brian Mitchell. Man I miss having him back there.

one cant return a punt if coverage is standing on top of him before the ball gets to him. I think if we get our punt return blocking down better, the guys we have back there are more than we need. No need to go after a punt returner in FA, there are better holes to fill in FA for our team.

I think a great punt returner is worth the risk, which I don't think is too high if the returner uses his brain and calls for fair catches when the coverage is there. Think of the Seattle game where we started inside the 20 every time. Santana Moss would have been able to give us more room to work with.

I don't think putting Moss as PR would be a good move, no matter how it influences our starting position. He's been so good for us this year and taken some pretty hard hits (see Seattle game) but he's a small, fast receiver not designed to take hits like that. Sending our best (see 'only') deep threat sprinting into a pile of men bigger then he is would be a bad idea. Unless we get an awesome #2 receiver, I'd think it would be better to try someone else.

And I don't know much about Hall, but I look forward to seeing Moss in motion under the new O-coach. He's such an exciting player for this team.

I agree. Putting Moss as a return specialist would be dangerous....

See Jason Seahorn.

risk our single biggest threat on punt returns? are u out of your friggin mind? how about Willie Ried he holds the FSU return records for yards and TDs and is an under the radar type player should be available come 3rd or 4th round.

plus i like the sinorice idea as well, early ratings put him out of our drafting range. :helmet::logo::eaglesuck:gaintsuck:dallasuck

ps: how about the two starters from last year HHAHAHAHAHA LC had the same 10ypc and rod got cut now in GB cuz all of thier recievers were hurt hahahahahahaha yah it was Joe Gibbs not your sorry arses.
