CHUBAKAH
This is an incredibly bad idea. I totally agree. Wanna help Sean, stay the hell away. :2cents:

redman
You don't think the public influenced the OJ verdict after Rodney King? You mean Bills fans went and tailgated in the courthouse parking lot? I guess I missed that one.
RiggoReincarnated
You mean Bills fans went and tailgated in the courthouse parking lot? I guess I missed that one. No I'm saying they were so worried about riots and upheaval that the verdict was swayed in OJs favor.

RiggoReincarnated
You would riot if Taylor is found guilty? Yes I would...because we have Ray Lewis, Kobe Bryant, and OJ Simpson out loose and all Taylor did was flash a gun suppossedly. For him to serve a minimum 3 year jail sentence because of a partisan Florida jury is absurd.
mikeyf316
Hell, Ray Lewis got off with a murder charge now didn't he? But Rae Carruth didn't. Let's leave football to the fans and legal charges to the court system, people.

RiggoReincarnated
But Rae Carruth didn't.Let's leave football to the fans and legal charges to the court system, people. To compare Sean Taylor to a thug that had his pregnant girlfriend murdered is an insult.

Ok, lets say it was Roy Williams, Brian Dawkins, Keyshawn, any number of figures on trial for the same offense in the DC area? Don't you think it would be only natural to be biased? RiggoReincarnated
No. Well, I do, particularly after the Pittman spitting incident...I think many Floridians will have an axe to grind with Taylor.
mikeyf316
Yes I would...(in reference to rioting) I really hope you're not serious. To riot, over something this insignificant in the scope of world events, seems childish and small-minded. Riot against a brutal police state which is victimizing its citizens through lack of equality and no due process. Not over a gun charge. You want to make a difference in Sean Taylor's trial, write your Congressmen, Representatives and Governor. Don't risk ruining some other innocent person's life through senseless violent acts committed in the name of another. I guarantee that if you asked ST, he would tell you not to riot, regardless of the outcome.

Doodie987
I LOVE SEAN TAYLOR...but you dont know if hes not guilty... i hope he isnt b/c hes the man but you dont the facts PLUS media lies...know never know
neongel
Well, I do, particularly after the Pittman spitting incident...I think many Floridians will have an axe to grind with Taylor. I would hope that a jury made up of reasonable adults could put aside the NFL when they're deciding a man's future. And I think they can. Plus, attorneys from both sides are involved in the jury selection process and I'm sure the defense would block someone wearing a Pittman jersey. I'm a cynic, but I have some faith in the system. saubouin
I wonder if the prosecution will submit the "Spitgate" tape as evidence that ST is a liar. In otherwords if he lied to his bosses about spitting then why should they take his word in court that he didn't pull a gun.
Hail_Skinz
You have no idea if he is guilty or not. Witnesses say he pulled a gun, he says he didn't. He also says he didn't spit...we all know how that turned out
