#1SkinsFan
Brunell was 22-37 242 yards and a TD. He started slow but got into a rhythm late. If he played with the intensity he did in the late 3rd and 4th quarter all game, we would have won hands down. Moss had 7 rec. 103 yards. Overall we just started off too slow to win. Didnt put up enough points on the board, and when our offense was effective, our defense wasnt. Oh well it was a fantastic season, exceeded expectations, and had a great run. Things can only get better. :point2sky HTTR, HAIL JOE GIBBS!!!!!!

Jimbo
Brunell played well when he was finally turned loose in the 3rd quarter. I wish we had opened things up earlier.

Leonard Washington
Brunell played well when he was finally turned loose in the 3rd quarter. red21skins
Exactly. he made no big mistakes, threw some balls on the money which were dropped, great numbers considuring he was playing with one receiver.

Agreed, and i wish we played with the late game intensity the way we did all game. Their defense wasnt that good but we tried to expose them and it didnt work early in the game. jauburn
Early in the game it was about who would NOT make the mistakes. We were winning that game. It was a necessary start to the game. Smart on both sides. Bottom line was this: our offense just didn't win the battle up front.

Seabee1973
we would have smoked them had we opened up the game doing that. I would not say brunell had a good game he had a decent 4rth quarter though.
STaylorLayintheWOOD
are you freaking kidding me. brunell did not play well at all. he made most of his yards in desperation time, his TD was lucky and should have been picked probably 2 times. he did not step up into the pocket at certain times and there is no way that out WRs were not open when they had 8 men in the box to stop the run. he shoulda had a field day with them focusing on the run. if you think mark played well you are far from right
SlinginSammy HOF '63
Well, things didn't help when we lost our 2nd and 3rd receivers for most of the year and had a 2003 draft bust and two practice squad guys behind Moss. We get us a number two WR with Patten at 3rd we'll be solid next year. This is just the start of great things to come. This wasn't a failure but rather a transition year that puts us back into the elite of the NFC. Joe is just in his second year and had to tear down and rebuild the offense and we finished 10-6 with noise in the playoffs. This is Holmgren's seventh season and it took him all this time to get his team where they are now. Joe is way ahead of that pace.
RedskinsRGr8
Brunell sucked. C'mon 3 points off of 3 turnovers and the one touchdown he threw was a luck throw that should have been intercepted. wake up people
jtyler42
We were definately too conservative in the 1st half...I think we should have opened it up earlier in the game, although Ray Brown and Raymer were being beaten like drums all game long Brunell played well despite being under pressure all game long... jbooma
he had a great game with all the pressure Seattle was getting, he was running for his life the entire game

dcoles11
those stats are amazingly misleading. he played poorly, how many yards did he throw for on that last drive that meant nothing, 50 or 60? the pass that Moss caught for a TD was a terrible pass, across his body over the middle of the field, for christ sakes it bounced off a Seahawk defender right into Moss's chest. the long good play was to Cooley which was nothing more than blown coverage, though he still gets credit for seeing it and making the throw. but as far as him playing well based on those stats, no sir he didnt not. RedskinsRGr8
the reason why we were being too conservative is because of Mark Bum-ell's inability to throw an accurate deep ball
KillaCam21
52 yards were to Cooley who was wide open. That TD to Moss should have been intercepted, not caught for a TD. -20 yards. Moss was wide open on that third and 17 play. -23 yards We had a bunch of yards on screen plays. Brunell cannot stand in the pocket and get first downs on his own. The offense is designed around how much he sucks.

RySkins
I think Gibbs wanted to open it up at the start of the game, but the field position was too bad to allow it. I believe our first 5 drives began inside our own 15. Its hard to get cute when your backs are against the goalline.
