I'll give Belichick the due that Gibbs has earned when he wins a Super Bowl without Tom Brady.

As a Skins fan, of course I think Gibbs is the best, but lets be realistic for a minute. The Pats have been on a tare consistantly for a while now, so I have no problem with Belicheck getting the top billing. He's earned it, and Gibbs being in the hall of fame means squat right now. Gibbs has said himself, the past means little and he has to prove himself all over again.

#3 isn't all that bad being in his second year of a comeback with only 1 playoff win IMO.

Is he SIX times as good?

No he is not six times as good; however, the question was who is the best coach in the playoffs. Why Gibbs is not a solid second I dont understand. I believe that Belichick is at the top of his game right now. I have all the faith in the world in Gibbs. I would hate to see the Patriots on the other side of the field tho.

HTTR!

Bill Belichik is the best coach in the playoffs? Please, he hasnt even proved he could do it without Tom Brady.

He is a great coach, but Joe Gibbs had success in San Diego and Washington and is now having success in the time where "the time has passed coach gibbs". I understand what their saying though...you get kinda brain washed when there were only 2 superbowls in the last 5 years when the patriots were not playing in one.

but ill tell you this, i wouldnt wanna see an offence like Bill Belichick has againts our defence. I really think Belichick would outsmart gregg williams.

Well, if Belichick goes 41 and -1 in his next 40 games he will tie Joe Gibbs' record.

Actually, that chart got me thinking.

I think somebody needs to point out that, y'know, Mr. Gibbs, at the current rate, I think it would only taks about 5-6 years to beat Don Shula's record for wins.

And one more amazing coaching note. There are 37 coaches in history of the NFL that have won 100 or more games, regular season & post-season.

Joe Gibbs 157	81	0 0.660
Mike Shanahan	129	78	0 0.623
Tony Dungy 107	65	0 0.622
Bill Cowher 150	91	1 0.622
Mike Holmgren	147	94	0 0.610
Bill Belichick	110	78	0 0.585

Six of those 37 will be coaching this weekend. Amazing.
