longtimeskinsfan
Don't know if anyone caught it, but on the Dan Patrick radio show this afternoon, Dan Patrick, Salisbury and Oberman were talking about this weekend's playoff games and they get to the Seahawks-Skins. Salisbury states that if the Redskins only gain 120 yards on offense this week, the Seahawks will kill them. Salisbury then said that the Redskins defense is really good and can embarrass an offense for several plays - that the Seahawks will need to be patient. Oberman then laughs, "who will embarrass who - the Redskins may embarrass themselves" - laughing continues. They then end the segment and go to commercial. RedskinDan0557
I generally like Olberman and his show, but he has fallen in line with the rest of the sports media: redskins suck. Oh well, I like being underdogs. HTTR
ttr77
What? A media personality not pulling for the Skins? And Skins fans being offended by it? Why is this the first I have heard of this?!?

RedDevil
If your a fan of a football team just so you can watch TV and hear critics, bc thats what they are honestly, just say nice things about your team then your a fan for all the wrong reasons. HTTR I like being underdogs too. And who gives a rats ass if we don't get any respect from the mediots? Do they sign our checks? Pay our bills? There's a fitting quote from "The Warriors" when the Turnbull AC's bus is about to turn around and head back towards our heros. "Just keep talkin.' Let them them talk and make fools of themselves. I for one, could care less. Go Skins!!! Hail!:point2sky
freakinandpeakin
Thanks Sean, of course if the Skins put up 120 yards they probably won't win. It was also the LOWEST offensive output in NFL history by a winning team. Chances are a team will not put up back-to-back weeks like that. Especially a playoff team. Lets look to history. We don't even need to go back that far. The Redskins this season put up a total of 125 yards (87 pass and 38 rush) in the loss to the Giants. The panic in the media sprung at that time as well. The following week the Redskins defeated the Eagles with a total yards of 293 yards (215 pass and 78 rush). Now lets go back even a little further to the Baltimore Ravens and their 134 yards in the playoffs vs the Titans in a 24-10 win. Baltimore scores were a J. Lewis one yard TD run, a 38 yards FG from Stover, a blocked FG returned by Mitchell for a TD and an interception return by R. Lewis for a TD. The following week they defeated the Raiders 16-3 and put up 282 yards (110 rushing and 172 passing). (3 FG's and one 96 yard pass to Sharpe). WOW, you took that conversation way out of context. If this is how you come to the conclusions that you do there's no wonder why you guys hate the media so much. His point was that if the Skins only gain 120 yds, they will embarrass themselves. And that's a no brainer.
81+83+84=Posse
That makes at least 7 times on 7 different programs that Sean Salisbury has said the same "they can't go and only gain 120 yds" comment. Come up with something different! That is so ridiculously obvious that it doesn't even need to be said.
Mark911
Here's what I don't understand. It's not like we've averaged 120 yards per game the whole season. Yes, we've had a couple of games where our offense is pretty anemic. But we just came off of destroying both Dallas and the Giants. We haven't been an offensive juggernaut the entire season, but we've held our own. Combined with our D, enough to win 10 of 16 games. Not bad. Now, after a game against the #1 NFL defense, it's all about "if they only produce 120yds again" and "They're going to embarass themselves"... Where do these people get their ideas? Are they really this dumb? Do they have goldfish brains that reset every week...?
authentic
OK, now wait one minute!! Now after one bad week, we are treated like we averaged 120 yds for the entire season. The reg season stats alone prove that these "analysts" either know nothing about what they are talking about, or they are just that biased against the Redskins and unprofessional.
