More Complete
So did Smoot. I think part of it has to do with their age. They are too young to know what kind of coach Gibbs was and is.

fight_on_til_you_have_won
Why you would want to get out of a situation with a Hall of Fame coach is beyond me. Good career moves, guys. At least Smoot is getting BJs on boats.

nneece
Admittedly the first season was pretty chaotic. But it just goes to show how shortsighted these guys are. Most of them are about me first and the benjamins. They can lie in their grave.

At least Smoot is getting BJs on boats. exactly. especially coles. dude really bummed me out when he ****ed and wanted to leave. the names gary clark, art monk and ricky sandes ring a bell? probably not with him. WTF was he thinking?
nyfan
Both players did not want to be Redskins and both players got what they wanted ( and deserved )! And are the Redskins better off with Moss and Rodgers than Coles and Smoot? I believe we are. So it is a happy ending for everyone!
LightenupSandyBaby
Good career moves, guys. At least Smoot is getting BJs on boats. Thats why i still wear my Redskin Smoot!jersey :wavetowel :jump: :vikesuck:
Doctor ToughLove
Laveranues Coles, welcome to Jay Schroeder's wolrd. (the only other player I have ever heard of who forced his way off of a Joe Gibbs team)
Goaldeje
Well, with the right coach, the Vikes might actually make some noise next year, so Smoot might not be that disappointed if they don't cut him. LC, man, I just don't get it. Noodle-arm QB, ancient RB, ouch! Oh well, I think we just may be better off...
Jumbo
Pierce, who was the best player that left, is the only one doing well and went to a team that should continue to do well. Fate was interesting in thes stories. Maybe Smoots' fortunes will improve if they make the best use of new leadwership and $25 million in cap space at MINN. And if he sticks with having his paid escorts sent directly to his room where he has privacy.
Cooley4President
I was so mad about Coles forcing his way out last year that I could barely see straight. I wasn't upset with getting Moss, but I was fuming with the cap hit we took and the sheer fact that Gibbs had been so thoroughly disrespected. However, seeing how amazingly Moss performed this year really shows there is some good in this world, especially as Coles fights for tee times so he can limp around golf courses with his gimpy toe. Also, this experience is the only thing that keeps me from totally going psycho every time I hear about Miguel Tejada's trade demands....
skins'89
Now look at Smoot, shouldn't have gone, now being investigated in the boat party. Serves Him Right.
Mania
Here's hoping you enjoy your broken home. You not only do not know who your QB is, you also don't know who your coach is going to be next year. LOL
altair4
It goes to show how powerful it can be to get rid of the mal-contents on a team, and concentrate on helping the ones that want to be there.... He gets what he deserves....same with Smoot and Gardner....

If we did not have to take a cap hit in moving Coles maybe we could have resigned Pierce... I thought Coles worked hard in DC and played with that bad toe but he messed up in going back to NY... regardless we are better of with Moss! :logo:

bulldog
let's see...........I could trust Joe Gibbs to turn around and produce a good offense or I could ask for a trade to a team with a gimpy armed qb and aging set of runners and other receivers............Coles made the wrong choice
