Mark The Homer
Good question - I just checked a bunch of winning years. From what I can tell, it's never happened before. In 1942 we swept Philly, but the Cowboys were just a twinkle in Landry's eye back then.
SkinzRool
I went all the way back to 1965 using www.pro-football-reference.com and I didn't find one instance where the Redskins swept both the Cowboys and Eagles in the same season. I must say that I was quite shocked to find that out.
Mania
I don't think Gibbs ever did, because in 1991 he lost to the Philly and Dallas and in 1983 we lost to Dallas and Green Bay.
lunarluau
We swept them both and after concluding our sweep of Philly at their own stadium we knocked Dallas out of the playoffs at the same time. Damn that feels good to type.

FranklinNoble
Wow... I would have never guessed that this is the first time that's ever happened. Too bad we couldn't have swept the Giants, too.

edhunter
I did not think The Skins ever had done it prior to this year. I have another trivia question when was the last time an NFC East team beat the 3 other teams (include the Cardinals if you need to) in back to back to back weeks? in other words what we just did? I'm going to guess never. The odds of getting three NFC East teams back to back to back on the schedule is very small.
freakinandpeakin
I have another trivia question when was the last time an NFC East team beat the 3 other teams (include the Cardinals if you need to) in back to back to back weeks? The 2004 Philadelphia Eagles did it in weeks 10, 11 and 12. Week 10 defeated Cowboys in Dallas 49-21 Week 11 defeated Washington in Philadelphia 28-6 Week 12 defeated Giants in New York 27-6 They played Green Bay the following week to only follow that up with beating the Redskins and Cowboys in the two subsequent weeks.
