skinfan2k
obviously darrell green the franchises best db would be able to cover santana moss. the speed of darrell green and the instinct of a tru cover corner could shut down moss.. i would have loved to watch this in practice. do u believe green could cover moss with 1 on 1 coverage
Mania
Green is faster than Moss and I do believe he could've covered him 1 on 1, but it would have been a challenge.
MadMonkey
Green in his prime has covered some of the best WR's in NFL history from Rice, Mike Quick, Roy Green, Irvin.. ect.. even past his prime he covered Randy Moss 1 on 1 and shut him down. 'm sure he would of been up for the challenge if he had to cover Santana head up
Art Monk 4 HOF
Yes. Absolutely no question about it. Darrell Green would hold Jesus under 100 yards.
fuji869
Santana is a speedster but Darrell Green is a Freak of Nature, I would say he could cover Santana Moss with both being in there prime.
BogeyMan
Yes. The receivers Darryl Green seemed to have the most trouble with were the big physical possession receivers like Michael Irving.
matty dread
Good question, if anyone had the recovery speed to cover a guy like Moss it would have been Green.
grhqofb5
When Darrell Green was in college at Texas A&I, he ran a 10.08 in the 100 meter dash. The only man in the world who ran a faster time that year was.... Carl Lewis. Imagine if Green had trained his entire life as a sprinter. Anyways, yes Green could cover Moss. Xameil
Has anyone seen the Chuck Norris thing? Like Chuck Norris doesn't sleep, he waits. Well, I think we could do one for Darrell Green. Receivers do not "Burn" Darrell Green. He lets them run by so he can embarrass them on TV with his blazing speed.
EnFoRcEr_uPu
I definetely think Green could cover Moss, but not shut him down. Green, atleast while he was playing, was the fastest runner in the NFL. But receivers have a lot of new moves now, so I'd think it would be one hell of a match-up to watch! Henry
The question isn't COULD Green cover Moss but CAN Green cover Moss ... My guess is yes.
28rdsknsfn28
I would say yes. Wouldn't that be fun to watch.
ChampSkinsFanatic
Yes. Absolutely no question about it. Darrell Green would hold Jesus under 100 yards. You want to beat the Eagles on Sunday dont you? Lets not get God angry. Darrell Green is my favorite Redskins and there is no doubt he CAN cover Santana Moss
mikeyf316
DG is the greatest ever, but the advantage usually goes to the WR. The concept is simple: the WR knows where he is going, the DB doesn't. DG was always fast enough and film smart enough to know where guys tended to go. Fresh off the street, I think SM would get DG for a few long balls. Give DG a day or two to watch some film on him, however... I think Moss would generally be shut down. That's saying a lot, as Moss is on the verge of being one of the greatest WR ever should he continue performing at his current level.
iceman330
He could not shut Moss out of a game....which is very hard to do if the WR gets more than a couple pass thwron his was...but if Green could stay with Willie Gault, he can stay with Moss. It would be fun to watch.
Warhead36
Hells yeah! I love Santana but DG is a HOF-er and for my $ the best CB to play the game.

Loyal2Washington
Moss would make a few catchs but his big play ability would be shut down. So yes all in all DG would handle Moss one on one. :eaglesuck :gaintsuck :dallasuck
Thiebear
Using History as our guide: DG covers with minimal attempts at his side of the field after the 2 knockdowns...
SkinsFTW
Green in his prime has covered some of the best WR's in NFL history from Rice, Mike Quick, Roy Green, Irvin.. ect.. even past his prime he covered Randy Moss 1 on 1 and shut him down. 'm sure he would of been up for the challenge if he had to cover Santana head up He probably could cover him now, I mean today. Darrell Green was the fastest man in the NFL for over a decade and they stopped the contest because it was no contest with him wining it every year. Zguy28
If they ever played against each other the forces at work may be enough to cause the planet to implode! But to answer, yes Green could definitely cover him step for step. Now if only Antonio Brown had Moss's "hands" skills...oh my! Talk about double your pleasure! saubouin
Finally a NON-LAVAR thread, and a fun one to boot! DG shuts down Moss one on one. Man I miss watching DG play.
CrypticVillain
Yes. Absolutely no question about it. Darrell Green would hold Jesus under 100 yards. I hope you are kidding. Green kept up with Allen Rossum at the age of 41 in a 40 yard dash enough said. :eaglesuck :eaglesuck :eaglesuck
red zone
Yes. With one qualifier... You have to have some semblance of a pass rush or any receiver will get open.
docsandy
Darrell could definitely cover Moss.. It would be a joy to see... No ... wait... That means one of them would have to be playing against us. Nah.. don't want to see it THAT bad.
