I don't think that's happened in 20 years.

While no one in the NFC scares me, to win 3 straight in say...Tampa, Seattle, and Chicago who are likely to be a combined 21-3 at home would be a feat for the 1991 Skins!

I'd love to be wrong but that's just a little much to conceive of.

A close example of someone who won playoff games on the road before winning the Super Bowl is the 2000 Baltimore Ravens; only their first game was at home.

Redman, that one home game is a big difference. Teams win back-to-back road games all the time. But 3 straight? Make that 4 straight with Philly?

We've been less than remarkable on the road all year - even during this great streak. Winning in Zona and St. Louis is one thing. But Philly/Tampa/Seattle/Chicago? Ouch. I love our D but we aint the 2000 Ravens for damn sure.

The Redskins would make the "NEW" record books since the divisional split.

It wouldnt hurt my feeling if they did it and the run-game/defense would make every game a close one. Passing game "could" turn it out...

I'll wait to see how the passing/Management of the game goes against the Eagles though before i cast aside the Giants/Seattle/Tampa/NC ???

Here is how it is most likely going to play out.

NFC Seeding

Seattle

Chicago

Tampa Bay

NY Giants

Carolina

Washington

We would see the Bucs in Tampa in the first round. I know all of us would love to see that. We beat them once we can surely beat them again.

Then we would go on the road to play Seattle because we are the lowest remaining seed and they are the highest. We beat them once we can surely do it again.

That would leave us most likely playing Chicago for the NFC champoinship game. Assuming Chicago gets by Carolina. They beat them before so they should beat them again.

We beat Chicago before and we can surely do it again. You see the common thread here is that we could potentialy and likely play three teams we have already beaten. I know we didn't really beat Tampa but we all know that Alstump was down.

Why the hell shouldn't this team have SB asperations. I do, I want to see Joe Gibbs hand it to Peyton Manning in Detroit. You gotta believe.

I'm not subscribing to the media praise. I didn’t listen to it when they were all bashing us so I'm not listening now that they are praising us. It's nice to know that theses idiots are good at pointing out the obvious. When a team is losing you say "they aren't very good," then when a team goes on a run you say, "this team can beat anybody." What takes true smarts is looking deeper inside the heart of a team and making the same calls.

One thing I'm sure of is road or not, there is not an NFL coach that wants to match wits with Joe Gibbs in the playoffs when his team is on a 5 game win streak. Assuming everything plays out Gibbs is a better coach then Gruden, Lovie, and Holmgren. Hell he's already beaten 2 of the 3 and the Redskins are far better team now.

I believe the year the Ravens won the super bowl they were a wild card team that won three on the road. I agree, the task is daunting but not beyond hope.

If we make the playoffs...that is "IF". I think that we can win at TB. I honestly believe this and I am one of the biggest anti-homers there are. I dont feel good about playing at the meadowlands or soldier field. Honestly the order of teams I would feel good about us playing is:

TB - we had them, revenge would play a part here. I cant see Simms lighting us up AGAIN.

Seattle - Yes. We have proven that we can hang with Seattle. We won and dominated that game for 3+ qtrs. I dont fear them as much as the Bears.

NYG - At home Eli plays much better than on the road. If this game was our first round game then I think I would be worried. The Giants are fresh off their 35-20 beating by us and as we know...revenge is a *****.

Chi - at home, in the cold. We did beat them this year but they have come around. Their D is sick and Grossman is making that team MUCH better by just being there. He has shown that he can throw the ball (granted vs. the Pack) and make plays. I would want to travel there the LEAST.

I know it is going to sound cliche' but you really have to play every single week as if it is the only game on your schedule. Can we win one game on the road against any team in the NFC? Winning three in a row on the road (four if you count this week as a playoff game which in effect it is) is extremely tough. But winning any single game is less daunting. Win and advance.

Now that being said, which road game this year would be the one that you would point to and say "Wow, we really played well"?

1. Dallas-nope

2. Denver-nope

3. KC-nope

4. Giants-absolutely nope

5. Tampa Bay-nope

6. St. Louis-nope

7. Arizona-nope

Hey, who knows what can happen? This Skins team isn't the same team that it was earlier in the year. Believe me, Seattle would be the toughest test, but we beat them already when we weren't that good. Our D line is playing better and we are getting more sacks without blitzing, Portis is running well, Moss is a beast, man Seattle is a very winnable game for us if you really look at it.

And as for Chicago, sure great defense, almost as good as ours. But are you really scared of Grossman? I mean c'mon, he doesn't have as much experience as Ramsey, for Pete's sake!Plus we beat them when we weren't that good.

Yeah, it's a stretch to run the table in the NFC but hey let's see how we do one game at a time before we start saying it's impossible!!!HTTR.

While we didn't play well all-around in any of those games, we played well in at least one or two aspects in all of those games. Against Dallas our defense was pretty much lights out. Against Denver and KC, we dominated them offensively, we just turned the ball over. Both games we were a finger-tip away from sending them into overtime. The Giants game....well...yeah, they sucked. Tampa -- again our offense showed up, especially our running game. We put up 35 points against the #1 defense! (at the time). For some reason our defense decided not to show up. Against St. Louis I thought they played very well, except for that one botched handoff. Limiting the Rams' O to 7 points is pretty good. Plus, having two 100 yard rushers is a feat, no matter who you are playing. Arizona, the special teams and defense showed up.

So I think you're half-right -- in none of those road games did the entire team show up. You can argue that's what happened against SD and Oakland as well. The thing to notice, however, is that besides the Giants game, even without a complete game we were inches away from winning all of those games. Against Dallas and New York we've seen what happens when the team comes together. Now that its happened, why won't it continue to happen?? If it does, I honestly don't think there is a team in the NFC that can beat them.

Here's to hope!
