The Redskins' approval ratings are going way up, and it is mainly because of their offense. The Redskins now have scored at least 35 points in back-to-back weeks, giving Washington a legitimate chance of closing its season with five straight wins.

Coaches like to point out that Super Bowl teams usually end the season on some type of winning streak. Seattle now has the longest at 11, but the Redskins are next in the NFC, with four.

If the Redskins can win at Philadelphia, Washington will lock up a playoff spot, possibly a division title, and it will finish with the type of late-season flurry that once was common for head coach Joe Gibbs.

Of course, a lot rides on the MRI on Mark Brunell 's knee.
