Cooley, Taylor, Washington Pro Bowl Robbed

he f***** sucks and shouldnt even be in the probowl. These MF's just put him in b/c the Hawks have a better record than us despite us beating them.

Apparently, you haven't watched any Seahawks games apart from when we played them. Mack Strong could be the best pure fullback in the league - I don't know whether your comment portrays your ignorance or if he is just that underrated. Probably a combination of both.

His cover skills ain't that bad. There aren't a lot of safeties out there better than Roy Williams to be honest. And also just like we say Sean Taylor can cover, people out of the DC area are probably saying the complete opposite. Saying he blows coverages and other stuff. We don't get Roy Williams games often. He won a game against Philly. Santana burned him, man Santana burns them all. He's just that good. I hate the cowboys as a whole but I can respect talent when I see it. (Except Michael Irvin, and Emmit Smith)

You're right on the fact that Williams cover skills aren't that bad -- in fact, they're horrid, thus making his Pro-Bowl appearance a joke, especially because it's as a starter. Also, Williams is, at best, the fourth best safety in the division. Dawkins, Taylor, and Gibril Wilson have all played better than than him.

One other thing: Jennifer Floyd Engel of the Dallas Forth Worth Times, one of the most respected beat reporters for the 'Boys, described Roy Williams as the most overrated player in the league in an article she wrote two days ago.

As for winning a game in Philly, he simply caught a ball thrown right at him and ran 40 yards down the field. He "won" that game as much as Larry Brown deserved to be the Super Bowl MVP when he "intercepted" two passes directly thrown to him by Neil O'Donnell.

The reason Cooley doesn't make it as either a TE or FB is the same reason he's so good in Gibbs' scheme. He's neither a TE or FB -- he's a hybrid. Thus, when viewing him a FB, he does too little blocking to considered fully for that position. When viewed as a TE, he's not a true guy at that position either. I'd rather take the H-Back we've got in Cooley and won't worry about the disrespect he gets in a Pro-Bowl voting system that doesn't account for the specific position he plays.

Funny I posted a thread earlier about how I get irratated by people and the medias lack of respect towards the Skins then I come back a few hours later and read this thread...I also wrote how I had a bad feeling that Moss(Santana not Randy of course) may get screwed out of his trip to Hawii this year(glad i was wrong:whew: ),but instead Cooley,Washington and Taylor(even Springs)get the short end of the stick.I have no understanding why other football fans and the media have this personal grudge and hate towards our team..........I think we are the most hated team in the NFL(my opinion), the Texans probably get more respsect than us at times:wtf:,I don't know if this stuff you guys are saying is official so i'ma wait till 4:00 pm to find out for real, but if this **** is true i'ma be really ****ing pissed, i mean noone from our defense going:bsflag:

check out my other posts to see what i had to say earlier................ Redskins will never win... hope the link came through ok.

Man none of you should be surprised at the lack of post season honors our players get. I'm not surprised because the Skins always get robbed for some reason. Hell when Art Monk didn't get in the hall of fame on the 1st ballot, you can't be surprised when other Skins get cheated out of their due respect for their play. Like everyone else has said, more motivation on he field. Sean Taylor may get the treatment that Mark May used to get. May was a hell of a offenseive linemen but he talked trash on the field which resulted in players from other teams not voting for him. We all know S. Taylor talks it up and I think other players don't like him so they don't vote for him. I wouldn't take another safety in the league over Sean Taylor.

How does it makes sense that Cooley was leading the votes at fullback, yet he doesn't get in? That is ridiculous.

Marcus Washington not making it is even worse, at least Cooley is a first alternate, Washington didn't get any votes because he's not a household name yet. I knew alot of our players would get snubbed, it happens every year.

</FONT>Adam Schefter's "Around the League" reports and commentaries can be seen regularly on NFL Total Access. (Dec. 20, 2005) -- When the Pro Bowl teams are announced Dec. 21, inevitably there will be some controversy surrounding some of the selections. Or, more appropriately, the non-selections.

Take a look at the NFC wide receivers. Try to decide four among a group that includes Carolina's Steve Smith, Washington's Santana Moss, Tampa Bay's Joey Galloway, Arizona's Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin, St. Louis' Torry Holt, Dallas' Terry Glenn and the New York Giants' Plaxico Burress.

The interesting part with Burress is that the Giants never have sent a wide receiver to the Pro Bowl. Ever. But Burress is on pace for 78 receptions, and has an outside chance to break Amani Toomer's single-season franchise record of 82 set in 2002.

But take a look at that list. Four receivers, four quality receivers, are not going to make it to Hawaii.

The competition at AFC wide receivers is just as fierce. Try to find four among Cincinnati's Chad Johnson, Indianapolis' Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne, Denver's Rod Smith, Pittsburgh's Hines Ward, Jacksonville's Jimmy Smith, Miami's Chris Chambers and Baltimore's Derrick Mason.

More than one deserving receiver is going to be left behind..

For some reason, the way I see it, the media and just about everyone else who is'nt a Skins fan is gonna screw this man out of his probobwl visit:( ,I pray i'm wrong:whoknows:

Man, Shockey got in and his mouth is a trash can. I mean, do you really believe that of all they pro bowlers from this year, hell even years past, there was not at least one trash talker?

Didn't Bill Romanowski go to some pro bowls? Other players liked him too, right?

This is the reason I never pay attention to any All Star game. Its like watching the Grammys; all based on sales and popularity. Some kind of rule should be made to make it more of a 50/50 decision between fan and coaching votes. In short: THIS SUX! :cuss:
