Working The Playoffs

I finally got it all the other day, so I'll try to make it simple, lol:

Seed #1 = Division winner with best record

Seed #2 = Division winner with 2nd best record

Seed #3 = Division winner with 3rd best record

Seed #4 = Division winner with worst record

Seed #5 = Non-division winner with best record

Seed #6 = Non-division winner with 2nd best record

Round 1-

Seed #1 - BYE

Seed #2 - BYE

Seed #6 @ Seed #3

Seed #5 @ Seed #4

Round 2-

Winner of Seed #6/#3 @ Seed #1

Winner of Seed #5/#4 @ Seed #2

Round 3- Conference Championship

Winner of Seed #2 game @ Winner of Seed #1 game

Round 4- Super Bowl

Winner of NFC Championship game vs. Winner of AFC Championship game @ Detroit

They don't re seed. The top seed plays the lowest seeded survivor.

Yeah.

It's not this:

Round 2-

Winner of Seed #6/#3 @ Seed #1

Winner of Seed #5/#4 @ Seed #2

It's This:

Seed #1 plays lowest remaining seed (either 4 or 5 or 6) @ seed 1

Seed #2 plays highest seed (either 3 or 4 or 5) @ seed 2

So if the Redskins get seed # 6 and we win a couple, we will be @ Seattle in the NFC championship, if they win their lone divisional playoff game.

I got family in Seattle. Might have to pay them a surprise visit...

You have the concept right, but not the result. If we win our first game against the #3 seed, we ARE the lone divisional game Seattle needs to win.

Since they are the #1 seed, we will automatically play them in the 2nd round (assuming we are the #6 seed, which I have to think we'll be).

We then will likely play the winner of Bears vs. (Winner of #4 vs. #5 game) in the NFC championship.
