Mr. Nostril
poor houson. I'm kind of sad that a team as bad as them has actually had a schedule worse than ours.
SkinsHokieFan
We certainly have performed admirably, and considering the circumstances we could easily be a 9-3, 10-2, hell even 11-1 team right now Only one time this year have we been outplayed completely and not had a chance to win in the final minute of the game
RIDETHEWALRUS
Actually when you consider how bad those other teams are, we actually have the highest strength of schedule. The "winning" percentage of houston, San Fran and the Jets is abysmal ratcheting up the s.o.s. of their opponent a bit. We have at least played even so far, actually bringing our s.o.s. down. Its a ***** that we didn't have an easier schedule, but it doesn't matter because we will win out and make the playoffs.
DjTj
Houston just gets screwed because it has to play the Colts twice and the Jaguars twice. Strength of victory is a really weird stat because the only reason the 49ers and Jets are on that list is that they haven't beaten anyone except the Bucs, who happen to have a winning record. ...Our schedule has been really tough though. Unfortunately, the AFC West and the NFC East are the two best divisions in football and we're playing each other this year. It's making it tough for us and for teams like San Diego and KC, although tougher for us since we lost to them.
santanamoss89
I wish we had an easier schedule...We were able to still perform well with a tough schedule though.
JerseyGator
SOS can be misleading because it doesn't factor in injuries and suspensions when teams play other teams. The Skins have played four teams this year with very young/new QB's. They also faced the Eagles without TO.

They also faced the Eagles without TO. how is it misleading, what is the record of those teams? all but 1 have "losing" records, and other teams pay them or equal or worse situations. The Hawks played the eagles w/o half the eagle starters in the game, then lost Westbrook.
Leonard Washington
well i rather we play the toughest schedule and earn everything rather than have an easy schedule and get embarassed in the playoffs.
hail2skins
You have to remember that we supposedly had the fifth easiest schedule based on last year's results. There's no use complaining about teams having an easy or hard schedule, since you never know what's going to happen from year to year. Also, I found it really interesting that the Skins are the ONLY team in the NFL right now that is at exactly .500.
SonnyJ
Also, I found it really interesting that the Skins are the ONLY team in the NFL right now that is at exactly .500. I don't know why, but that factoid absolutely amazes me...

Mark The Homer
Look at the best teams we've played so far: Broncos Chargers Seahawks Giants Chiefs Bears Cowboys Bucs And of those eight games, we only have three wins. That's not particularly good. You can argue that they're good teams we had to play, but still, a good Redskins team will win a majority of those games. SkinzRool
I'm actually suprised that SD isn't high up on that list. The NY sports talk radio station always says how tough of a schedule the Chargers have had to play. Just goes to show that the media knows absolutely nothing. All they care about up here is baseball anyway. :yawnee:
Dead Money
All you haveto do is watch the games to figure this out  Nice to know we have another excuse though.... I can see it now in January - "EFF YOU, MAN....WE HAD THE SECOND TOUGHEST SCHEDULE IN THE NFL DUDE...."

Are you saying that if the circumstances were different, we would have lost those games as well? feeshta
Crazy how easy the Colt's Schedule has been. Didn't realize just how much easier than anyone else their's was. Not saying they are not a good team, obviously they are, but it makes it a lot easier to be perfect when your opponents suck for the most part. With that schedule, they should have broken every offensive record in the books this year. LOL! It will be interesting to see how they fare in the postseason though. The Skins have played four teams this year with very young/new QB's. They also faced the Eagles without TO. Perhaps, but those things tend to even out over the course of a season. We also faced the Giants at the worst possible time we could have faced them. We got the Chiefs before they lost Holmes for the season. We got the Cowboys before Adams went out for the season, and Irvin, Aikman and SMith weere being inducted into the Ring of Whatever. It's a tough schedule any way you look at it. That's not particularly good. You can argue that they're good teams we had to play, but still, a good Redskins team will win a majority of those games. Maybe a superbowl team would win most of those games, but the formula for success is to beat the bad teams and split with the good teams. 3-5 against the good teams isn't terrible. Losing to the Raiders is. If we had just won that one game we'd be 7-5 staring at 8-5 with Dallas coming to town, and this town would he going nuts. Yep....Oakland or Tampa....its really kind of depressing when you think about it! We are literally inches away from being in a much better position to win the division, and 3 plays away from being in firm control of the division....ugh. Plus, think of it this way -- we are the ONLY team in the NFC to beat Seattle, and the ONLY team in the NFC to beat Chicago, both firmly in control of their divisions. Not to mention we beat Dallas, who until last week was tied for the NFC East lead. If only we had beaten Oakland and Tampa!!
McMetal
On the local Redskins radio show last night they noted that every team the Redskins have lost to this season is at least 8-4, with the exception of the Raiders. That is the game we'll look back on that killed us...
