we should run the Steelers offense

Look at the similarities between the Steelers' and Redskins' offenses: Both have good depth at RB - both teams have a fast, cutback RB and two more powerful backs. Both our o-lines have high potential but are underperforming. Both teams have good, young h-backs/tight ends in Heath Miller and Chris Cooley who are big targets for their QBs, especially in goalline situations. The only difference I can see is that the Steelers have a big receiver in Hines Ward and a burner in Randle El, whereas we have Santana, and uh, Taylor Jacobs.

Given that we really only pass the ball to two players, shouldn't we just pound the ball like we did against the Rams and have Brunell throw the ball only about 20 times a game? We have three great backs who can get the job done. Part of the reason why Big Ben has such a high QB rating, IMO, is that the opposing defense always respects the run. It's not like the Redskins when it's 3rd and 2 and we are in shotgun. So this would take pressure off Brunell, and every once in a while we can surprise the defense with big pass play.

What do you guys think?
