Guest sith lord
Apparently, former Giant players helped their former coach Bill Parcells prepare the Cowboys for this season. I just wonder how all of you would feel if Gibbs was coaching the Eagles and he called on Charles Mann, Joe Jacoby, and Dave Butz to help him on Philly? Would it be alright or would you call them traitors?
Fifty Gut
they would be traitors, and better hope they still don't live in the area

e16bball
That's a completely unbelievable scenario, though, because OUR coach would never sell us out to our hated enemies. Gibbs actually loves the Redskins, and would never pull a mercenary move a la Parcells.
G-Prime
Directing this a AP, he can go #$)( himself. He took a tiny bit more to play for a division rival. He's a piece of crap. Glad Giants payed him all that money to have one good game.....Against us.
mikeyf316
they would be traitors, and better hope they still don't live in the area They were helping Parcells. That's loyalty, like it or not. Speaks to the character of Parcells as a coach. If Gibbs was coaching the Eagles and Monk, Green, Grimm, Butz, Jacoby, et al went to help him at his request, I'm confident they would go for the old man. Now if we can just get them to show up to help Gibbs while he's with the Redskins...
docsandy
First, the scenario of Gibbs going to Philadelphia is one I'd care not even think about, but I'd have no problems if the players that played for him were loyal to him. I know it's different.. but JGR (Joe Gibbs Racing) is helping out Staubach and Co. start a team.
Ancalagon the Black
This is a tough one. Loyalty to a team is all I know--I've never worked with any player or coach. But I can imagine that loyalty to a person rather than to an abstraction might take over. As a Redskin fan, I would label the Eagles-helpers traitors, but I could see where they might be coming from. Zguy28
This thread makes me think of Brian Mitchell. Just ask Joe Jacoby about soemthing like this and see...especially with the Cowboys!
